I had to take a heat gun to Al's sheath to adjust the fit. Blade width and size was fine, but I couldn't get the handle all the way in, or to snap without heating and refitting a bit.

Only took a few minutes. It's a little tighter than I want, but it's okay.

The knife, I'll let you judge for yourselves.


Oh, and the knife weighs exactly the same as my DEK 2. 7 7/8 ounces.
Feels fantastic in hand.

I know Mark said that each piece would likely be slightly different. Looking at the grind on mine vs yours, yours has a slightly more squared plunge, whereas mine is a little more sweeping. Both look excellent. Not surprising that the sheath needed a little adjustment. I think Al used mine to make the sheaths.
