Some people call carrying 2 blades every day overkill. I, for one, carry a bk14 with tkc g10 scales and a az welke kydex sheath every day, AS WELL AS my benchmade h&k axis. How many of you also carry two different blades. Feel free to post pics as well!

Two or more depending on pockets, and what strikes my fancy for the day. Case in point, Today: my Case Elephant toe, ZT 0350OT, ZT 0801BW

Two everyday. Folders rotate, ESEE Izula doesn't.

I generally carry four: a fixed blade, a Benchmade Axis folder, a Spyderco Ladybug II rescue and a Vic classic on my keys.

I carry at least 2 every day. Alox SAK left front pocket, and either a folder in my right front pocket, or a fixed blade on my belt.

I usually carry my Small Sebenza Insingo in a little slip sheath in my left pocket and my Sebenza 25 clipped in my right pocket. Sometimes the 25 is just not appropriate.

I always have a locker clipped to my right pocket and a SAK (pioneer, super tinker, cadet or explorer) either in my pocket or on my belt. Aside from the tool selection, I'll bust out the sak for light cutting or when I don't wanna raise any eyebrows like at the office.

At least two everyday. Today I have a Buck 501 in my front pocket, a Case trapper on my belt in an open top sheath and PM2 in my back pocket

Trying a small fixed blade and a Alox SA or other folder in leather pocket sheath. The SA stays most often because it is so convenient and does the small jobs well, the fixed blade usually changes as mood hits me, the one most in the sheath is a Avila small blade with micarta handle. Lately I have rediscovered my Blind Horse Maverick colt, and the SA goes in a vinyl sheath. One knife like the SA would suffice, but it is just fun knowing I have two. :D Forgot to mention that it goes in left from pocket.

Cbach, the Opinel is a finicky, demanding knife that is not for everybody. They demand some amount of TLC and tuning to get working well and while this may be common knowledge among French farmers, it's not commonly understood by US point and click consumers who want a perfect out of the box consumer experience.

On the other hand, it is the lightest and by far toughest knife I own. Just don't expect the lock to prevent blade closure in set load and don't expect the same school boy Longmire is my hero glee that a Buck 110 gives when it clacks open (my second most carried knife for this reason.

The wood handle of an Opinel is a living breathing thing. It will never give the same dead consistency of titanium or G10. I melt Johnson's floor paste wax into the pivots of mine and they stand up to all day rains in New England and to cleaning under hot running water.

My thoughts on tuning the Opinel are here

I've been carrying 3 blades every day for the last several months and I haven't found it cumbersome at all. ;)

The Victorinox Secretary sits in the bottom of my wallet. Since a knife makes my job immeasurably easier and this is my "forgot a knife" safety net.

The cruwear and BK11 San mai (both modded) are my goto work knives.

I normally carry 4 , my micro neck knife ( 24/7 ) my LM fuse ( don't use blade ) and vic classic ( for the tweezers not blade ) are 3 constants then my primary edc and sometimes a small dedicated folder if my primary is a fixed blade.
Today it's my neck knife, LM fuse, vic classic, an old imperial h6 fixed blade, and a bulldog brand baby saddle horn trapper.

I carry two blades and yea, it is overkill. If I'm being honest 95% or more of my cutting a SAK could handle. What it can't a fixed blade could...but I like knives and carry a couple everyday. Do what you like! :)
