Carry 2 blades?

I have to be honest here, if I fell into the river with my pants on and my regular edc, i'd sink to the bottom faster than you could say Sebenza. I'm also the rolling knife joke among my friends, "...Ted, how many knives do you have in your pocket today?"

That's me too. Always like to have access to a knife if I'm already holding something in one hand or the other. EDC for me is ZT0350, BM940, Leatherman Squirt, Victorinox Alox, Surefire Titan, SureFire LX2, and a County Comm small Ti pry bar.

I always have several knives on me. Today I'm carrying a Victorinox Tinker, Case Peanut, Case Sodbuster Jr., and a Spyderco Endura. [emoji4]

I always have multiples. I have a small mini grip with deep carry clip that I use as a money clip and is inside my left pocket next to a LM micra. I usually also have a folder clipped to my RFP, and one clipped IWB, and many times one more if I'm wearing cargo shorts which is just about all the time.

I also always have a flashlight, CCW, spare mag, and a Bic lighter along with all my other 'pocketries'. Oh, and I have a disposable scalpel blade in the heavy foil wrapper they come in inside my wallet.

One knife is my all time favorite model which is a BM Rift forum model. Another is one that is screaming razor sharp that I don't use except to show someone a sharp knife or if I need something really sharp. The other is normally rotated and just what I'm liking at the moment and all are modern folders.

I usually move everything from one pair of pants to the next so I have everything. I had to go to court Tuesday so I threw my cargo shorts in my backpack and took out the bare necessities like my wallet, keys, phone, and some change for a parking meter. Even then I still ended up having to go thru the metal detector 3 times and they found 2 things with their wand . I had picked up a different flashlight because I was up early and strangely it's always dark if you get up early enough. I forgot about the small pill fob I carry my medicine in and missed some change. And I forgot about the folder that I clip to my underwear and sleep with. I changed it to the clean pair after taking a shower without even thinking about it. Good thing I didn't try to go in my normal cargo shorts.

A better question is probably who carries a knife 24/7. I do as mentioned above, I carry a folder clipped IWB to my underwear. I also carry a flashlight that gets much more use as I get up a few times almost every night and it's nice to not have to turn lights on that might wake someone and are blinding when half asleep. I imagine you will find many fewer people that constantly have a knife on them. I don't normally need it thru the night but it occasionally comes in handy after getting ready for bed or in the morning before I get dressed.

Today I've got my GB2 clipped on the right pocket, and Victorinox Alox sitting in the left.

I always carry at least two, plus a mini streamlight, and a good quality pen. jeans, dress pants, sweats, gym shorts, doesn't matter.

Almost always carry two. Hubertus Lever in RF pocket and, lately, a Kershaw 3200 Ripcord on the belt. That comes off while at work but goes back on when I leave. Now that we're slipping into jacket weather there is always a Leatherman in one of those pockets as well.

This is what I'll be carrying at the California show this weekend... Pretty much my EDC as normal with the addition of a DDR AXD.

It depends. I almost always have a 105 mm SAK in my pocket. I often will have a Leatherman PS4 Squirt attached to keys also in my pocket. Sometimes I carry a modern such as the ZT 0770CF which I like. If I carry a modern in addition a traditional SAK, I generally want something "different" and the 0770 fills that niche. But I like the Spydie Native 5 quite a bit.

Been carrying a small fixed blade on my belt to get used to the idea for the last week or two. It is the little Condor Bushlore and at times a Dozier Companion. Contrary to my prior experience, I have been actually using the little fixed blades for cutting versus always reaching for my SAK.

Sometimes 3!! ...then if you count the 2 or 3 on whatever multitool I might have that day, that could be up to 6 blades. Like BMC said, its really about what works for you. ;) I raise my eyebrows at some guys, but hey, I know plenty of people raise their eyebrows at what I consider normal/useful. :D

the two I carry now:

Chris Reeve large Insingo and a GEC 14 in leather slippy in my other pocket.

The Sebenza is a large blade so I pull out the boys knife when a smaller blade is needed.

I usually carry a small Sebenza in a pocket slip. I wouldn't want to go much bigger and, if that happens to be too big or heavy, I go with a G-10 Manbug.
