Carry 2 blades?

I typically carry 1 fixed blade depending on where I'm at decides which fb knife. Like when out and about town I carry a late 80s early 90s Custom Bud Nealy Aikuchi in Blued O1 with black linen micarta with dovetailed bolsters and a distally tapered tang.

Then a 3" or so locking folder of some kind, usually a small plain Jane Sebenza 21 is in my right front pocket in a slip sheath I made.

Finally a traditional non locking folder which as of late has been these two, a Loveles/ Lone Wolf City knife and the 2015 BFC annual Traditional knife, the CSC Serpentine Jack.

But at any given moment I replace any of those with one of these.

I carry at least 2 every day. Alox SAK left front pocket, and either a folder in my right front pocket, or a fixed blade on my belt.

What Will said.

I carry my Alox Farmer in my left front pocket, and a large folder in my left front pocket.

I almost always carry two. A SAK on my belt, usually my Champion Plus, and whatever folder I fancy in my right front pocket. Lately it's been a ZT 0562, but my Emerson Horseman will take the spot back when it returns from service. I'll often carry a traditional as well, or a fixed blade on my belt if I am working outside. When I am out and about however, like out to dinner, I will often just carry one, normally a traditional or alox SAK.

Bowie and slipjoint.

Two on me, but often times I can put my hand to four or five. One is always a user, the others are either man jewelry or desk ornaments. I love admiring a beautiful blade by slicing phone book paper or swinging open a frame lock like a "smoke break" during the daily grind.

Good to hear that I am not the only person to carry more than one knife on a regular basis! I regularly carry a small folder in my pajama pocket as well...
For usual EDC I have a folder early Gerber, made in USA, jen-u-wine stag slab grips sandwiched between front and rear brass bolsters. A showy knife by my standards but the steel is great and I love it. Next there is a clip folder cheapie M-Tech of good size half serrated blade hooked in my right pocket, which I mostly carry for the serrated edge, very good at tearing into boxes, cord, etc.. Inside said pocket is a small Spyderco marked "Golden Colorado USA Earth" and "CPMS30V" which is certainly one of my very favorite knives for edge taking and retention- with my Gerber one of the two best stainless knives I have bothered to own, plus my SAK in left pocket for fiddly tasks demanding a razor-edge or small "saw" or scissors (the real reason I bouight the SAK)... Generally Im a "High Carbon Guy" but make an exception with these three folders. So, as a rule, four knives. If Im carrying a belt knife, five.

3 every single day:

Full Size multitool on one pocket, folding knife on the other, mini multitool on my keys.

I carry several blades daily. My friends, family, and co-workers enjoy making fun of me, but they always come to me for help. I EDC usually a small fixed blade lately it's a Cold Steel mini pendelton hunter, I also carry a CS tuff lite for dirtier tasks like boxes, tape, gunky stuff. I neck carry under my shirt as well. Usually an Esee Izula. I also mix in crkt drop point minimalist or a CS Beaver tail (awesome knife! Never really hear about it. Next is my multi tools, lately my rebar is my full size hip carry in sheath, I always have my LM squirt PS4 in my small Jean pocket and a micra on my key ring. They all come in handy. I am just used to the weight and benefits of that variety

Some very nice folders pictured here.. good stuff, guys!:D

Two? Absolute minimum for me hehe...

Three blades or four are in my EDC (SAK + Folder/Fixed + Multitool blade + keychain tool or SAK) at least, every single day

If carrying two keychain tools, or just two multitools (belt + pocket / belt + bag/ bag + pocket...) the number of blades can get up to five or six, and I can use them for many different chores and situations...

I have to be honest here, if I fell into the river with my pants on and my regular edc, i'd sink to the bottom faster than you could say Sebenza. I'm also the rolling knife joke among my friends, "...Ted, how many knives do you have in your pocket today?" Heck I wear an aluminum scaled Victorinox Money Clip on a chain so I always have a knife and scissors with me even in the shower.

I am sure there is a "Help, I've fallen and Can't Get Up!" Joke in there somewhere.
;)

If you count the SAK, Micra and a Leatherman as knives then one could say I often carry four!

Clockwise from left: front left pocket, front right pocket, usually available via backpack. I guess that's 4 blades!

I very rarely carry more than 1.

People talk about carrying a large and a small, so they can use the small in cases where they don't want to scare people. I don't have to worry about that.

I have wanted to carry 2 so I would have a beater knife with me to use to cut things that I didn't want to cut with my good knife. But this happens very rarely and in reality the knives that we carry are capable of cutting the bad stuff too. My biggest problem is not having enough room to carry 2 medium size knives.

I occasionally carry a knife and a multitool, which technically means I have 2 or more blades with me. I find more use for a multitool than a second blade.

I have interest in carrying a small fixed blade. Carrying only a folder seems to leave out a lot of nice knives that I like. But I haven't got this all worked out yet.

No, it's not overkill.

The LionSteel SR1 is the heavy, solid knife because I like big knives. The Spyderco Mouse is for opening peanut packs and such without alarming the sensitive citizenry and also presents the opportunity when asked why I carry that knife to reply that I am a civilized tool user and not a caveman who tears at things with his teeth.

The $12 Klein electrician's knife is to loan or use when what is really needed is the screwdriver/scraper or to cut rough material.

But it's mostly just because I like knives.

At work lately Iv been carrying a Wave on my belt, and depending on the days chores a 940-2 and a 941 or a 94X and a 5400. Usually 1 knife to take the abuse for the day and one knife for food prep. Both clipped to front right pocket. Main/heavy abuse towards the back and secondary towards the front.

As well as my 2 main pruners. It said "colors may very".

My options are growing rather quickly though. Mainly just seeing weekend carry for now.

And other work tools, depending on what needs to be done.

Hand forged Japanese Tobisho A-type secateurs in Aogami #2 blue paper, a pair of drop forged Tobisho snips in Kobe KA-70, and a 5" fixed Baishinshi Kogatana w/ a shirogami core en route. eta monday :D
