carry in comfort.

Another vote for the VM2!!! I don't think you'll find a more comfortable, all-leather, IWB holster on the market. Personally, I do not care for Kydex when IWB carrying.

As has been mentioned, a good, STURDY belt is paramount. The Beltman makes some pretty good leather belts for the money.

Beef I have had A Lot of iwb holsters. The best one by far is Crossbreeds super tuck deluxe. The TOPS!
I wear it with my sig p239 sas genII. Fantastic

I have tried quite a few and for me the Galco open top con227b fits best. I can not do an IWB as it is very uncomfortable with my keg abs. I wear it with cargo shorts, jeans and BDUs with t-shirts mostly. I am carrying a G23 right now but have also used one with 3,4 and 5 in 1911s. The most comfortable set up I have ever had was this holster for a Sig P232,I could not tell it was on my side. I have a Ruger SP101 with 3 in barrel and need to research this type Galco for it. I tried when I got it but there were very few holsters of any kind for the 3 in barrel. I got a Simply rugged holster for it but it is really to large a set up or I should say carries to low for summer carry. You can see in the pic that the set ups are about the same size but the Glock carries higher on the belt. Desantis speed scabbard is also very close to the same feel as this Galco and a little lower in price. I have also found that the belt used makes a difference in how a holster feels.

For OWB, Milt Sparks Axiom is the best that I have ever used. Easy on and off, holds my Commander 1911 tight with no issues printing. This is my preferred style of carry for three of the four seasons when I wear a jacket or vest.

Milt Sparks VM-II for IWB carry is good, particularly since you can still tuck your shirt (can't get used to walking about with an untucked shirt).

Have been using Pistol Wear's PT-One as an under the shirt holster. Concealability of my 1911 is excellent when configured as an under-arm setup. Accessability is compromised compared to OWB/IWB carry, but I'm okay with that.

Open/field carry is either a Simply Rugged pancake holster or a Mernickle Evil Roy Wild Bunch setup.

for owb I have a safari land that I carry my Springfield champion in. I love it. but I don't often open carry.

Now I've got a minute to post pics, here's my pocket holster for my Kahr. I carry in right hip pocket in warmer months, it's barely bigger than my wallet. Now that the laws here have become a LOT more c&c friendly, I'll be pickin' up a glock 26 for year round carry owb at 4 o'clock. My sweats caustic, so I rarely carry owb in the summer as it rusts my 1911s.

Wallet is a Saddleback large for size reference.

I used to carry IWB exclusively until I bought a proper gun belt. Now I carry my M&P45c in a leather K&D Thunderbird Defender (no longer made) or my M&P9c in a kydex Black Dog holster, both OWB covered by an untucked shirt in the summer or a jacket/coat in the fall and winter. The belt makes all the difference in the world.

Sometimes I carry the Ruger SP101 in .357 Magnum in a Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake holster. It rocks.

This summer, however, I have been carrying my S&W 442 in a nylon pocket holster with one speed strip more than anything else.

It took me a long time to find what worked best for me.

I think the 442 is great in the summer! just about perfect plus for some reason I don't mind if it stays all pretty so I can just throw it in the glove box in the car.

Here's another vote for appendix carry. I work construction and I can carry at work with no problems, i should say that I carry a small revolver though. If you have a belly it might not be as comfortable.
As for holsters, I don't use one. I use one of those belt clips that screw onto your gun. Call me nuts, but it works for me. I think that if I carried something without a safety and a light trigger I'd probably look for a thin minimalist kydex holster.

What belt are you using with the silver dollar. I use the 30 dollar gun belt from a member here that makes them.It is a single piece of leather with no back liner or stiffener. It works great with the G23 but not so well with the Ruger. I think a lot of the ride issues with the silver dollar I am having is because the Ruger is so heavy. I need to dig out my old 511 gun belt that is double leather with a stiffener and try it with the Ruger.

Interesting to see how people pair their holster with their gun. Until I move I've not been able to really compare many pistols in person, so searching for a good sheath kinds of comes in a distant second.

I'm right now considering G19, PM9, or P229. Will eventually have to see them all in person I suppose, being a big novice.

Don't really like the idea of pocket carry. I like my pockets. And I kind of like the idea of leather. Who knows what I'll end up with.

While it's no secret I like my Tupperware, the g19 is just a lil' big for concealed carry IMHO. I've got no history on the P229, but as far a the PM9 goes, it's mighty hard to beat for a concealed carry handgun!

I'd put the PM9 in my number one slot with the glock as something that has a reputation that just wants me to get one. The Sig just looks cool. I'm pretty sure I'll end up with the kahr unless I just hate in, which I doubt. ;)

I'd really like to try out a pm9 but for all the good I've heard about Kahr I have know several people who have had nothing but problems with them??? I guess ill just have to bite the bullet and get one to find out for myself.

All of my belts have come from Bullhide Belts. Excellent quality and they really do the job. I can carry the Ruger all day long and it won't sag one bit.

I also discovered that the belt width needs to match the width of the holster slots for the best results.

Like everyone else here, I have tried a lot of different holsters, for a lot of different guns, some worked, some didn't, ended up bending my own kydex lately, but this one really has me interested, and with the guarantee, no risk and no addition to the old holster box! It seemed a little gimmicky at first, but I think I might try one.

was not sure if the link to their website was ok, so just google 3 speed holster

When I got mine, I read a bunch of bad reviews, but I figured if it didn't work out, I'd trade it in. Since I've had it, I've never had a ftf, fte, stovepipe, or a light strike. Same as the 938, I equate every issue I've read about to limp wristing. I don't ever see me gettin' rid of mine unless it's in an even trade for a Rohrbaugh R9.

I have shot a rohrbaugh and I was not impressed. its really small and that's about the end of it for me. its no fun to shoot you cant hold on to it and right from them they say not to shoot it too much. which I though was odd but they say never more than 200 rounds in one setting, the gun can shoot more than 200 rounds in its life but not all at once?? either way I don't think you could pay me to shoot that gun 200 times in a row. but that's just my take on it. not to burst any bubbles that's just a very pricey gun for what it is. I guess for deep concealment and just as a life saver it would be great but the world of small 9mm's is so big now I just think there are better options.

Yeah, deep concealment is the fascination with it. Around here, they go for $1300 so when I said even trade, that's the only way. LOL I fell for the whole .380 thing a few years back with a LCP & never carried the thing. I always opted for a 9 instead except when I rarely wear shorts. Then I'd carry the lcp. That's where the Rohrbaugh would fit in my rotation. 9mm that I could carry with shorts & not have 'em drag the ground. HOWEVER NC just passed an updated c&c law this past Tuesday, and all my c&c concerns are gone! I never thought I'd say this, but I'm about to invest in a glock26 for 3 season carry & be done with it.
