Anybody here carry a knife(Folder, Small Fixed, etc.) and a Multitool(Leatherman)?
Just wanted to know what everyone does.

What pockets do you put them?

Whats your philosophy on carrying both?

ToughTool on my belt, Titanium Ti-Lite clipped in my FR pocket. Schrade is for everyday use, Cold Steel is for emergencies.

Carry a Graham Stubby Razel in a pocketsheath in the right-front pocket, and either a Leatherman Juice (kf4 or xe6) or a Wave in my back right pocket, hanging from a belt loop chain. My philosophy: A good knife is a good knife. A good multi-tool is a good multi-tool. So why not carry both? I can be rougher on the Razel, since it's a small fixed blade. Plus, it has better steel, is sharper, and has better knife ergonomics than any multi-tool blade i own. The multi-tool is great for the serrated blade and all the tools, just not the best knife in the world, IMHO.

Full-sized tool like my Leatherman Wave, I find it too heavy to carry in pockets, so I have them in belt sheaths. I keep an EDC knife in my pocket for easy access.

i ALWAYS have a leatherman on me, (charge Ti) and i carry whichever edc suits me on the day, the usual suspects..spyderco benchmade etc..sometimes if im carrying my revolver front pocket i will tag along a small fixed blade on my belt or a buck ranger in its sheath..it depends where im going

Always, Buck 110 or now a Falkniven PXL, and a Leatherman Skeletool. Just 2 different beasts. I use the Leatherman for everything, and the "junk" uses for a knife (opening boxes at work, cutting hay twine, tape, etc.). I use my belt knife for more protracted duty (fish, game, and carving type duty).

At work I carry a multitool on my belt and a knife in my pocket. The knife is in case I actually have to cut anything, because the blade on my gerber takes a year and a half to open and is perpetually dull as a screwdriver.

I have tried over and over to carry a full size multitool on my belt, along with a folding knife, but again and again it dawns on me that I don't really need the multitool and don't want the extra weight. It is certainly do-able for a tradesman or whoever for whom it is actually worth it to carry a large multitool. I want to need it, but as a laptop jockey I just don't.

I do always have with me, in addition to a knife, a small multitool like the Leatherman PS4 or the Victorinox Explorer Plus, but those ride unobtrusively in the bottom of my pocket.

I belt carry a LM Core everyday at work, along with a folder clipped inside my RF pocket. If there is cutting to be done, the folder handles it quickly and easily. Any other tasks go to the multi-tool. Between the two of them, I have my work covered:)

leatherman old wave on my belt and folder clipped to my pocket at work
ive ran into several occasions where a set of pliers have come in handy (fixing jewelry for the ladies at work etc)

I carry a Victorinox Swisstool Spirit that I modified with a Leatherman pocket clip, a Spyderco Mini Manix, and a Victorinox Super Tinker. It is amazing how much I end up using each one. I always wear cargo pants. Swisstool in the left front pocket, Mini Manix in the right front pocket, and the Super Tinker in the left cargo pocket.

For work, it's a Knifeless Fuze in a horizontal sheath on the left side and a small folder either in my right front pocket or in a horizontal sheath on my right side. Once I get home I swap the small folder for something larger (the small knife during the day is because of work restrictions on blade length).

I have two Leatherman Supertools, one Leatherman Wave and a Gerber that a friend gave me.

I carry the Wave at work, keep a supertool for home use, the other Supertool is in my vehicle glove box and the Gerber sits on my end table in the living room.

I carry any number of different knives for EDC at home but at work mostly the ZT 0300 and the ZT 0500.

I always have my Case Sow Belly for those PC occassions.

If I had to choose between a knife and my Leatherman the knife would have to go bye bye.

I feel very uncomfortable without a multitool as I cannot remember a day that I have not used it at work.

I don't alway carry a multi-tool, but when I do it's a Leatherman Ti Charge on my belt.

I alway have a pocket knife clipped to my right front pocket.

I keep a very small multi tool on my keychain in my left pocket and my pocket knife in my right and many times a second small pocketknife in my watchpocket.

I always have a Leatherman Skeletool clipped to my left pocket, a one handed folder of some sort clipped to my right hand pocket, and a little Old Timer 3 blade stockman in my watch pocket or in the bottom of my right hand pocket.

Yes. I carry a large CRK Insigo in my left front pocket (I'm a south paw) and a leatherman Micra in my right front pocket. The insingo for cutting food (and because I really like my insingo) and Micra for when I'm around sheeple. :):p;)

Also that combination covers a wide range of applications.

Icarry a Leatherman Freestyle clipped to the top of my right front pocket and a small folder in my left front pocket.
I work at a welding supply store and use the pliers all the time.
The folder varies but it opens boxes and mail every day.
I also have a Victorinox Classic on my key ring.
