Carrying more than one EDC?

I follow the two is one, one is none philosophy. So I always have at least two knives on me, plus a multi tool.

I usually have a BM Griptilian, a SAK, and an older Case that my grandpa gave me on me. I add an Izula to the mix when I go out.

Had these two on all day today - the medium/large folder and small fixed blade combo works well for me most days:

Usually I have a bm grip in my front right pocket, a SAK i got from my grandfather on my keys and a kabar small tdi karambit style knife on the back of my belt like a scout carry position. I switch the tdi out occasionally and put a smaller folder in my back pocket. I also always have a medium sized 4-5 inch fixed blade in my pack which is never far from me.

Current edc combo.

I always have at least 2 blades on my person, a Manix2 S110V and a Minichamp on my keys.
In my work bag I have a new style Vic Soldier and a Camillus TL-29 plus my Stanley razor knife.
When off work I usually go with my ZT 0620 and a GEC 15.

I carry a primary EDC which is typically a 3" to 3.5" folder... and also a smaller secondary EDC which is typically a Ladybug/Manbug or a small Case traditional like a Sm Stockman or Tiny Trapper or Tiny Texas Toothpick, etc. Then I also have a third blade on me in the form of my Leatherman Squirt Ps4. I find the small secondary EDC blades extremely useful for everyday tasks where a bigger folder is either unwieldy or inappropriate to use.

Sometimes I do, pulling out the smaller knife if sheeple are around; or just because I like admiring/using more than one knife at a time. A larger and smaller blade have their respected time and place. I like having a 3.25-4" full size folder and a small folder around 3" or less.
Nice small blades like CRK small sebenza,

Different geometries for different cutting tasks. I normally carry this stuff on my persons. Then another bunch in my EDC bag.

In my experience the 0562 and 0801 have pretty similar geometries and excel at similar tasks...i know they call the 0562 a "slicer" grind but i feel like the performance is similar. Not sure if you have a different take?

more than one?.....always. a Vic Pioneer and folder of choice (lately an Emerson Traveler) in my pockets and if I bring my Maxpedition jumbo along, theres an Izula II, an Evispa, and a Leatherman Wingman in it.

One of these goes in the right front pocket:

And something else in the watch pocket. Currently, it's a Wenger Highlander with swapped scales from a Wenger Evo 18 — swapped because I like the scales' black color and don't mind their sculpted shape.

Pretty much always. Today it's a Leatherman Wingman, Kershaw Groove, and Microtech UTX70 CA SE (too damned cute!), plus both versions of the Kershaw SpecBump in the backpack (newly acquired users waiting to go on the Wicked Edge).

Here in Massachusetts, if your knife ain't clipped its concealed carry, and the police don't usually like that. Clipping two knives draws alot of attention, and if they were to have any suspicions they can always just confiscate the knives under some logic from MA's very, very vague general laws (and town laws).

I'm sorry to hear that John. Here in Canada while our weapon laws are very strict, our knife laws are very lenient. It's a shame that some people just don't see the usefulness of EDC'ing a knife.

I always EDC multiple knives. I rotate a modern folder (usually a PM2, Sage 1, BM710, or Seb 21) in my RFP. In my LFP usually carry a couple of traditional slip joints. I like to carry a nice slippie to fondle (usually a GEC or Northwoods) in a leather slip, and a working knife loose in the pocket (e.g. Case Sodbuster, Stockman, etc).

Do I need three knives? Not at all. But I like carrying them so why not? It gives me a variety of knives to play with throughout the day.

Oh, and I also keep a SAK or Leatherman in my day pack, as well as a fixed blade for heavier work.
