Carrying multiple knives

i leave a fixie in my brief case, and a folder in my pocket at all times, so whenever i have my brief case on me (weekdays) i have two knives, one fixed one folding

* i also have a cheap folder that doesn't leave my work drawer, if that counts as a third

I only carry multiples when I'm carrying a fixed blade. A folder is a constant in my right front pocket, the fixed blade(usually a Bradford Guardian 3), is the variable.

Not a fan of a bulking keychain, I prefer to have just the bare essentials attached(truck/house/trailer).

I agree but with the toothpick and tweezer the sak classic is the only extra on my keychain.

I almost always have a modern folder with pocket clip ... that varies from one of many brands or models depending on my day ... and what uses I think I'll be needing it for ... Most often recentally it has been a ZT 909.

and almost always carry a traditional folder ... maybe an Alox SAK Farmer or maybe a GEC Improved trapper ... or my Lionsteel Roundhead.

and most everyday on my belt is a Leatherman Wave or Ti Charge ...

and mostly only a fixed blade added to it when I will be outdoors doing anything in the wild from a day hike to hunting , fishing, or camping trips ...

so I guess most days at least two knives and a multitool ... occassionally just a traditional and the multitool but that's rare.

Then there are the best days an outing in the woods or a hunting trip or camping ... where I can take several ... not just the knives you carry in pocket on on my belt but all in the pack to get to use too!!!

Echo that. Sometimes a traditional in the pocket, plus a fixie (Guardian3) and modern folder in the work bag. Nobody's scared of traditionals, so that's easy to take out at the office. You can't really rock a fixed blade on your belt here in good ol' N.J.

I almost always carry two. The “flavor of the day” goes in my right front pocket. Usually a modern folder of some sort, or sometimes a traditional. A 7 layer SAK lives on my right hip in a leather sheath.

I always have one larger folder in my right pocket (clip-on, one-hand opening typically); that or a higher-end traditional if the mood strikes in the morning.

Additionally, I ALWAYS have my Vic waiter and Kershaw Cinder in my left front pocket along with a ZT pen and Fenix flashlight.

In my truck I have a small JK Necker (the Atta-Boy) fixed blade, and in my man-bag I have my JK Scanduckie in my fire-starting kit.

Other than that I hardly carry any knives.

I used to carry a little knife with my motorcycle keys, but after one ride I realized that it was a mistake. Once I passed 65mph that knife turned into a mini morning star and beat the hell out of my gas tank, haha.

This was my carry combo the day before my wedding (11/10)...
pretty typical for me; a modern folder, a fixed blade, and a SAK/slipjoint...

I also have a SAK classic on my house keys, and a Leatherman Style on my car keys.

Congrats on the wedding dude. Oh.......and I really like that ring.

I carry a SAK Tinker in my pocket and either a Kershaw or CRKT AO on my belt. Nice to have an AO when you use a walking stick.

i don't think i'd actually wear a sheath no matter where i lived... just personal/fashion reasons. i'm in new york, so most of my daily carries are under 3" non-threatening knives and a good portion of them don't lock. the fixed blade is safe in the bag because even if i got random searched at at a subway station, it's less likely to get in trouble. I get joking comments even for pulling out a slip joint at work

i really like the guardian 3s! the micarta is on my list

I only work PT now (semi-retired meat-cutter) but when I'm at work I usually carry 3 knives, a SAK Recruit (that's on my key-chain so if I'm driving, it's with me) a Case wharncliffe mini-trapper (for the scaredy-cats) and one of 9 folders that I have in rotation (that I actually use). Now as far as the SAK is concerned, really the only part of it I use with any sort of regularity, is the tooth pick and the Case only gets scarce use as well.

LM Squirt is always on my keychain + a separate EDC knife for general cutting tasks... although with changing responsibilities for the last two months I also carry my LM Juice since I need full size tools for what I'm doing this quarter.

I generally carry two knives .. old habbit from living in the bush , one is for eating with , the other for everything else .. made sense at the time now its habbit .

If I have 2 it'll be an xm18 of some sort and a small fixed--either a CPK Field Knife or Busse S.O.B. or S.O.S. ("Son of Badger" and "Son of Swat" in case s/o didn't know.

And Strategy; that's a fine looking ostrich quill wallet!

What fixed blade is this?

I carry a CRK and one of the many other knives I've got to accompany it. ZT's, a Shirogorov, Strider, Kershaw, Big Chris EDC or a slip joint.

Bradford Guardian 3 cross-draw.. a clipped large Sebenza.
It is turning out that I use the fixed Bradford a great deal more than the Sebenza, although that doesn't mean that the Sebbie will be left at home.
