Oh yes. Look at that jigging.

Yeah, I just saw that on their site. That's a pretty good price.

As a side note, Case trademarked the "BackPocket" name for those knives.

That really chaps my hide. The term BackPocket has been in common usage for a long time now and its trademarking is frivolous. Even if it holds up, the trademark should belong to Tony, not Case.

Oh, dear... Does that mean they're going to start throwing lawyermoney at makers like Tony, who use that term for some of their knives? :thumbdn:

I'm still planning on getting one of these, though... Ebony and CV? Yes please!

Take a chill-pill on the trademark deal fellers. It's legal and with his T-ness's blessing and only is used as written "BackPocket" for the name of those knives. The name for the knives was dubbed by Tony years ago and it's cool that Case is immortalizing it in product naming. I see this as a good thing for Tony Bose.

I found it interesting that the "Zulu Spear" name for this years Case collab couldn't be used because it was already trademarked by another knife company (Buck, I think) so "Tribal Spear" was chosen. Naming is important and when you have a good one then you want to protect it.

Thanks, Kerry. :)

What is the Buck Zulu spear? Fixed blade, folder? Traditional?

I really liked the Tribal Spear, but the Backpocket is more in my price range, especially after this year.

I've been wondering what to buy next. Now I know. Not sure about the handle material - they all look nice - but CV sounds right for this one.

I hope it's an early November release, deer season here in Kentucky usually starts on the second weekend. I would love to use one on a deer this year.

Very good scale range, but IF they do get round to doing it in cv some old school Bradford Green Bone be the one to have!

I see this knife & it's popularity.
What a great addition to Case's line up.But why not hold out w/ this pattern & make it a Case Bose semi custom collab knife ?
Well, the only thing I can figure,is they have even better plans in store for the next one.
I really like the stuff Case has been doing as of late . I always was big on Queen & Schatt, but now Case has me looking!
Very nice , Thanks ,

Man that Ebony and C V sounds soooo goood. Now if I can just find where momma hids the egg money jar. LOL. Maybe I could pick up enough aluminum cans by Nov. to get one. Oh well there is Santa Clause.

That would surely be a sweet knife. But...for those of us that can't spend $300 on a knife it gives us a chance to own a well executed Tony Bose design that can be used for EDC without fretting. I got all excited over the Tribal spear and had my mouse hovering over the Buy button many times but couldn't bring myself to do it.

I understand your point, I don't always feel like spending 300 on a knife but I do feel that they should offer the higher end option also. Sometimes depending on the knife I would like a higher level of embellishment and detail.
