Case Back Pocket.

I spoke with Case yesterday about the Back Pockets....still shooting for November delivery. There will be a run of etched "1st Run" Back Pockets that will be offered at the same price as the non-etched versions. When I talked with Tony at Blade, he was so excited about this pattern he took me to the Case booth just to show the off the pattern. It is going to be popular.

This may be a stupid question but how is the lanyard going to stay on the knife.
I'm still getting one but i was just wondering.:D

I think maybe that one stays on by art :)

I realy like the looks of that knife. Not often I bye a knife and even more seldom I by a longer pattern but that one looks more than nice. And mabye, just mabye It looks best in stainless. I find no big difference between CV an SS realy. Bouth gets easily sharp and dont last to bad. I have come to prefere steels on slipjoints that is easy to sharpen. Most often I enjoy a patina but this knife looks realy good shiny. Anyone belive they ever make it a micarta shadow?

I saw one of these (1st run) on the bay the other day. Anyone got one yet? Looking forward to this one.

I have a first production run, red bone in my pocket right now.great knife it is a nice full size knife that is thin, easy to carry and sturdy.I liked it well enough to order another one after seeing this one.its one of my edc knives.this one isn't part of the collection.

yes I carry it in my left front pocket,it rides very well,I actually forget about it untill I open something or take it out to show someone. The handle reminds me of the old bullet trappers, the lanyard hole is nice to have.

Anybody know where one of these can be found in Ebony?

I would prefer Cv but these look too nice to pass.

Just got a first run Ebony Back pocket in the house! I'm impressed with the overall feeling of thinness of the knife, as you can see from the picture it is slightly longer than a full size Copperlock, both knives are the same thickness (measuring 0.37" at the bolster handle junction). Out of the box, the Back Pocket had a burr on the edge of the blade, took off the burr with a strop and the knife is shaving sharp, walk and talk is solid and smooth as expected. The Back Pocket weighs ~3.1 oz and the G-10 Copperlock weighs ~2.8oz.

My only complaint with the Back Pocket was the accessory lanyard, the slide that comes with the lanyard is zinc and broke when I started to install it.

I'll be posting followups as I carry the Back Pocket.

Nice, thanks for the pic. I've been waiting to see an "open" pic. Looks like the knife is lighter than the specs I have read online which is a good thing.

Congrats ScottK! That knife looks really good. I am looking forward to getting one of these myself. I will put a different lanyard on it though (my dad makes some nice paracord lanyards).

If you feel like posting more pics of that BP, it would be great to see more.

I would think hugely popular. I can see why Tony was excited about it, Case really did a nice job on this one.

My 1st run Ebony arrived today. I had firmly resisted setting my expectations too high and getting dissappointed when I perfectly decent knife doesn't meet them (even though Annie said she would pick a nice one for me).....but jeez, this is a VERY nice knife...met or exceeded whatever expectations I might have had. You could almost compare it to the higher priced collabs.

Found it odd and slightly dissappointing that Case pictures it with a lanyard, but then doesn't include one with all of them. Though, from some comments I've seen the abscence of the lanyard is no big loss.
