It's possibly the lighting, but mine looks a little lighter in color than the examples of

Those are relatively minor issues though. If I had to make the decision again, I wouldn't hesitate. It's a great knife.

Just a side of caution...'crinking' may work well with Rough Ryders and Cases....but not all knives. This works if the ricasso of the blade is properly annealed. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell unless you know how they were made or anneal it yourself.
This is a result of 'one' hit with a plastic mallet. I have been successful with other attempts of crinking but in this scenario...not so much...
It is an older knife but the secondary *sheepsfoot" was rubbing badly on one side. So I took it upon myself to attempt crinking and voila! This is now a single blade that is with someone else as a part of the trade...
Sorry to derail the thread but wanted to share....

I agree.I just wish they would leave the shield off of the gray bone. I'll still be getting one though. (sigh)
Sweet! I'm thinking I'll pick up that one and the blue ss one.

A thing of beauty, I like it very much. That was fast, I ordered the blue barlow yesterday and it just came in.
Fit and finish is almost perfect. No gaps, blades centered nicely, and the action is firm and snappy. There is only a little wobble of the blades when opened but that doesn’t matter to me, I’m just being fair and honest is all. The blue bone is beautiful, Case built an excellent example with this one!
