If the Burnt Amber stag was available in carbon steel and with a clip blade, I’d be more interested…but probably not $130 interested.

Carbon steel with a satin blade finish would probably be enough to bypass my resistance. I ain't paying $130 to have to reprofile a factory-blunted tip myself.

After cleaning, oiling, & stropping I am really happy with the action, fit & finish, etc. Was a bit lazy but now has nice snap. Has a 5-ish pull. The covers are great, pile side has a bit more of the darker pattern.

The Case Collectors Club released a nearly identical version yesterday as well - has a different stamp on the bolster but otherwise is the same.

I picked mine up with the intention of replacing the covers, and performing a secondary blade delete, so the cover material wasn’t nearly as important to me as getting something in carbon steel.
