I’ve been so tempted but haven’t stepped up yet . It seems another always happens first lol especially since 400 dollars and up seems to be the going price .As it's Christmas, has anybody treated themselves to one of the Eureka Jacks yet?
Heard nothing about them, but been looking forward to seeing some actual owner's photos by now ...![]()
Agreed I also like the coffin jack much better . I actually found the latter on eBay for 350.00 and made two offers 250 and 275 and it was declined so I passed . Plus it was brown bone ...wasn’t sure about those covers .I'm not a big fan of that pattern personally. I scored a brand new Coffin Jack for under $300 A few months ago so the eureka isn't even on my radar. Not sure why it's a little harder to find it in the $300 - $350 range. It doesn't seem to be very popular at the moment.
Ha! I just found this post I made while searching. Boy was I wrong! I sold the Coffin Jack long ago and the Eureka is one of my top 2 knives. Mr. Bose and Case knocked this pattern way outta the park. I refer to the little wharnie secondary blade as the witches nail. Its devastatingly pointy and laser sharp!I'm not a big fan of that pattern personally. I scored a brand new Coffin Jack for under $300 A few months ago so the eureka isn't even on my radar. I've been eyeing the Eureka. I like a little wharnie, and the spear makes a great primary blade. The fact it's a Case-Bose collaboration pushes it over the top for me. Nice one!Ha! You wouldn't be disappointed Gary. The contouring of the ebony version is absolutely exceptional. I had the kick lowered on the secondary blade when I sent it in for a refurb a while back and you barely notice it in hand. I got mine in a trade for a Lanny's Clip collab and I was instantly impressed by it when i received it.I've been eyeing the Eureka. I like a little wharnie, and the spear makes a great primary blade.
