A friend of mine, who is a knife maker and collector, but not a Case collector, said he found it in an old shed. He let me have it for "dirt cheap." :D There's a divot near the tip of the clip blade on one side. I thought it might be a big corrosion pit, but someone suggested (and I agree) that it looks like maybe someone got it across a live electric wire. :eek:

That would do it.... don't ask me how I know.
Mine was not a knife, though... it was a tape measure. Very exciting for a split second....
