Case red bone pictures?

I thought it would be interesting as a comparison to show Robeson's strawberry bone from the same period as the Case XX, 1940-'64.

The red dye that Case used was banned as carcinogenic in its liquid form (maybe it was the solvents?)!!:eek: They have come close, but never matched the old colors completely!! I can't remember when that was!!?? About the time the same thing was happening to maraschino cherries maybe??!!:rolleyes:

Edit: Red dye number 2 (containing "amaranth") was banned in 1976, after a soviet study found it may have been carcinogenic! Lots more info in Google!!
