Case Tony Bose Collabs pic and discussion thread.

The wharncliffe on the eureka jack versus the sheepfoot on the cattle knife, which do you prefer?

The wharncliffe on the jack looks a tad longer and narrower. Is it also thinner?
Sheepsfoot on the cattle knife. Its wider so its thinner behind the edge.

update: really pleased with Case's repair service.

received a premium stockman with spey blade a little loose, rubbing the liner, not okay.

the nail nick for the clip was gunked up with something hard, dry caked on polishing compound that didn't want to get scraped off.

contacted case, was directed to mail it in the next day, and two weeks later got it back with perfect blade alignment, no blade play and a clean nail nick on the clip!

great cs/ goes a long way to making the knife worth the price tag.

my only complaint is that the arrowhead is ss, not nickel. otherwise, it's basically perfect...

blade was a bit smaller than i thought but just the case

mrknife mrknife Nice find  Going for the usual blade-delete? ;) Try a Winchester Black Box Coffin Jack, it's an interesting contrast.

once upon a time I had my eyes on those, but never pulled the trigger. Would probably blade delete a winchester before i have it done to this case. Flushed in all three positions currently. Just the blades are a little smaller than I thought theyd be.

I have both the Case/Bose and the Winchester coffin jacks. Both are great knives but it really is apples vs. oranges when it comes to quality. If you aren't familiar with the pattern, they do come off as being on the small side. But both examples are nearly identical in size. If I were to blade delete one, it'd be the Winchester.

For some reason considering an actual coffin, it resembles more of a coke bottle then an a coffin to me. Like a medium coke bottle.

Yeah like a coke bottle with definitive lines which are incredibly attractive in my opinion! I've thought the same however I feel like an actual coffin silhouette would be an ergonomic mess and less appealing visually. The CJ is my favorite collaboration out of the ones I've owned.

I would say the only main difference between the two is the shape of the opposite end bolster. If it's rounded, it's a coke bottle, if it's more squared off and has lines, it's a coffin jack. Very similar patterns and both are great. I enjoy the nice lines on the coffin.

I'd also add that most coke bottles I've seen tend to be more rounded in the handle. The coffin is boxier.

Never mind the bollocks. Sent the ebony Lanny's back to Case due to some protruding pins, a bit of side to side wobble, and lazy action. They took care of it and got it back to me in less than 2 weeks, good as new. Very happy to have had such a great experience with my first ever case warranty claim, or warranty claim ever for that matter. Very fortunate to have these three.

I had send one in for repair and it was my fault. They fixed it for free :)
