Case Tony Bose Collabs pic and discussion thread.

Wifey got this for me for my upcoming birthday. My first Case/Bose.

I fear it will eventually lead to a search for a Norfolk and a Premium Stockman.
Congrats, and Happy Birthday, Christian!!

That gives extra meaning to the knife you just got.

Haven't received it yet. It's with USPS at the moment. Delivery on Tuesday. Wifey says I can inspect it immediately, but I can't take possession of it until the day of.

☹️

Happy B-day!

This thread gives me bad thoughts.

A Tony Bose has been on the list for a few years. Maybe this year I’ll pass on the newest kid on the block and just go with traditional class.

Congratulations and Happy Birthday kamagong kamagong . You could not have picked a better knife as a present. Tony’s wharncliff trapper is special, and yours is a great example.

I had hoped to ask Tony to make a Sowbelly for me one day but never had the chance. So when I saw this Stag version of his pattern for sale, I jumped on it. It is as close as I will ever come to an original. It is not a collaboration, but it reminds me of how Tony made them. Someone told me that Tony was a couple years ahead on his collabs. I hope that is true and that a Sowbelly was one of them!

Thanks Les. Your sowbelly is a beauty, and drool inducing. So much so that I went looking for one. Wow!!! That knife is much dearer than I expected for one of the Bose non-collabs.

I must’ve missed something. What does the HT in HT trapper stand for?

This knife is a R293 Remington HTT. It was made for the Hunter-Trader-Trapper magazine for a subscribtion drive for 1 year, 1930. For $3.50 you could get the knife and 12 issues of the magazine. It's one of my favorite bullet knives and a very rare one. Yes this is one of the bannana knives.

kamagong kamagong , congrats on your new knife:thumbsup:
Here is my one and only. Collabs don't come up too often in the UK and I happened to have spotted this one just prior to the announcement of the Old Dawgs passing. It will always have special place in my collection.

Very nice. That pattern doesn't trip my trigger compared to other models, but I appreciate the technical skill required to make it.

Received an email from a big case dealer that has some Case/Bose eureka jacks and lockback hunters at a good sale price. Not sure if we can mention names, but if you’re in the market check out the place on the Hills.
