I found a Eureka Jack in brown bone for what I think was a good price.

Nice knife, F&F is good. Blades centered, no liner/ spring gaps. W&T is good. Pull is a bit stiff for me (scale of 0 = no resistance to 10 = I can't open it) at a solid 7, maybe 8. Already chipped a thumbnail. Size is great, same length as my Teardrops but of course it's fatter and heavier. Metal edges are a bit sharper than I'd like by just a bit, but not cutting sharp. Access to the main blade pull is a bit difficult, but I've seen others mention that.

This will be going in my pocket this weekend and will likely be my primary pocket knife for a month or three.

I wish I had know about the Tribal Spears when they were available, might have to ask some questions and maybe look for second-hand.

of all the ones I have so far, I think I like the HT Trapper the best in terms of how it feels in hand and the overall proportions. Then maybe a toss up between the Wharncliffe Trapper or Lanny.

On my ebony EJ the line or ridge across the back spring from the center pin is a bit crooked from side to side which is fine with me but just a little odd as I’m assuming it was a bit of an error on their part. I suppose I could send it in to have them fix it but I don’t really mind it I guess. I’ll try and post a follow up pic when i’m back home to show what I mean.

^The Case/Bose Eureka Jacks are nice. With their size & shape, you hardly know they're in your pocket, yet they have two very useful blades.

I wasn't originally interested. But after reading through the collab threads and seeing others post their EJs, it grew on me. Agreed on the size and blade combo. Love the bone coloration and jigging.

I’m sitting outside with my EJ so I took a pic. I am curious what the first collaboration knife with Bill Ruple will be. I’m hoping the collaboration with Mr. Ruple will be just as great.

A medium two blade Barlow would be nice. Or maybe a medium stockman? Texas Jack? Or even something along the lines of the #35 GEC Churchill.

Does anyone know if the slimline trapper Case/Bose had a pinned shield? I think I recall reading somewhere that some of the first collabs did not. I’m keeping an eye out for one as the pattern has really grown on me and just curious.
