Case's new Rogers Jigged Walnut Bone

You guys are terrible. I had managed to push these to the back burner till this thread got bumped.

Gorgeous covers on your pair, Harry.

Ay yai yai....temptation is everywhere.

Andrew

Awwww , c'mon Andrew . We are just trying to be good enablers.
In fact , I think I will go ahead and order a Mini Copperlock before they are all gone.

Mini Copperlock just arrived today .
F&F is pretty good . Found no issues . Blade is not quite centered but pretty close. Jigging runs closer to the bolsters on this than on my Peanut and Seahorse Whittler . Color match with my other 2 is a little bit darker but in the right light , you can see some reds starting to show a little close to the bolsters. Not objectionable at all. Pull is maybe a 4 or 5 . There are NO half stops . Backspring is not quite flush in open or closed. Not objectionable to me.Good snap at closing. Blade is shaving sharp. Pins are flush . Lock-up is solid , with no side to side and very little up and down . Not objectionable to me in the slightest. This is my first Copperlock and I like it very much.

That is a nice collection of Walnut Bone - you need to go ahead and get the rest of them! OH

Old Engineer, that bone on the copperlock is beautiful. The other two walnut bones of yours are looking very nice as well, but this one's, I don't know, it just looks real good.

Thanks for the encouragement OH but I have 4 Kids and 6 adult Grandkids who have them on my Christmas list . We will wait to see what comes then and go from there. I only ordered the Copperlock early because it was a birthday gift from a daughter and I got a pick of what I wanted.

ISKRA : Thank you very much . I also think that the Copperlock is very nice but I think the Seahorse Whittler might be a little bit better , or maybe the Peanut.

Congrats on the new copperlock, Harry! That series is REALLY appealing! I tend to prefer quite plain bolsters, but these are irresistibly groovy! ;)

Thanks GT . It is kind of nice to buy some Case that I like for half the cost of the Northfields.

My seahorse whittler came today. Conchita gave it to me in retaliation for the one I gave her in persimmon bone. This knife h as no issues that I can see. No pics yet, but it is a beautiful knife. I took inspiration from this thread, and am happy I did.
