Yeah centering can usually be adjusted...lots of videos out there on how to fix it but for almost $200 it shouldn't have left spyderco like that. At this point you shouldn't return it though as you said in post #13, you've been using it. So might as well try to adjust it yourself.
I see a lot of people mistake centering alignment with heat warp or asymmetrical grinding.
I used it to cut a orange... I didn't put it through anything that would compromise it.
I'm going with the popular vote to return this one in hopes to get a better knife for the price.

That looks as if it was ground that way, not warped....
try adjusting it before deciding.
I have to ask- Did you try adjusting the pivot to see if that would center the blade?
FYI. Knives have adjustment screws for a reason. Unless the blade is warped, the blade can be centered with little effort. 1/8 turn of a screw is not tinkering.Poor advice. If you tinker a knife, you should not return it to the dealer.
