I suppose I'll jump in now.
I bought a 940 Osborne from him in July. It arrived without thumb studs. He said he forgot that he took them off to use on another knife that had since been sold. Whatever. He promised to get some studs from Benchmade and mail them to me. After a month of no studs or contact from Chad, I emailed him to see what's up. Apparently BM screwed up the mailing address or something. He forwarded me his correspondance with them as proof, and assured me it was resolved and just a matter of days before he got them from BM. That was over a month ago (two in total since the original sale) and I still haven't got the studs or heard from Chad. Enough is enough. I contacted BM myself the other day to take care of it myself.
I've stuck up for him in the past, but that was before I wasn't sure he was screwing with me. Still, he is a confusing guy. Stellar rep on some forums, dodgy on others. Lending me money one month, d!cking me around the next. Even if in the end he fixes everything with everyone and it is revealed that his intentions were never dishonorable, I don't think it can be argued that, at the very least, he is a shadey flake. He has demonstrated that much with his unwillingness to communicate and resolve these matters in a timely fashion.
I apologize to anyone who might have got burned by Chad M beacause they read my past endorsements of him.

Chad emailed me on Nov. 3 (8 days ago) saying the studs he requested from Benchmade had arrived. I gave him my mailing address again so he could ship them out. Here are the contents of the email copy 'n' pasted:
"Your thumb studs have just arrived. I will mail them to you along with the actual bill of lading to prove I was genuine in Benchmade taking their sweet arsed time.
Hmmm im not such a prick afterall!!
All i need in the reply is your mailing address please."
He lives a little more than an hour's drive from me. I have not received the studs yet.

For the past several months, I contacted Chad M once and again and got no reply/ no refund. Today after I gave it a final try, saying "will report to RCMP next week". He replied immediately and offered me a partial refund of $380 -- he cheated 420 USD in total from me. This case has been open for over half an year and it's been really a hassle for me. So I decided to take his offer and give him my paypal account. So what happened next? I got 364.88 CAD, which equals to 345.22 USD. And Chad insist that "I'm in Canada no US funds in there... why would there be?" Chad M, you're SO SMART! If you live in Peru, I'm sure $380 will save you MORE.
Anyway, I'm enough with Chad M. And his name is on the top of my list of LIARS.
I checked his feedback on BF and surprisingly, he still got 100% positive feedback! I'm leaving a negative one for him right away. His full name is Chad A Mullins.

It's a great news that you got your money back from Chad Mullins. But would you mind leave him some feedback? IMHO, other members should be warned of a liar like Chad Mullins. And he should simply be banned from BF.

Momentarily after I posted my feedback to Chad M, I got another 34.78 USD from him through Paypal, making the refund to be 380 USD now. I won't say I'm happy with this outcome but it's fine considering all the hassles I encountered with Chad M during the past nine months.
This refund however further proved my conclusion on Chad M -- a liar. In his previous email, one hour ago, he said "...$380 is all I have right now..." Then Chad M, where did the extra 34.78 USD come from?
Though not happy, I'm done with this case. And in the last email Chad M said he doesn't participate on the Bladeforums site anymore. I don't know if it is true but for the safety reasons for his family, I removed the information of his address and telephone number.
I hope this is the end for Chad M in BF.
