Challenge: EDC Something New !GAW FROM TSARBOMBA PG. 5!

Well, the Case only lasted about four days of constant carry. I just couldn't get warmed up to it. So tonight it moved to a better home. I passed it along to a friend of mine who recently gave me a couple tl 29s.

That's a good choice if you don't find a smaller stainless knife to your liking. The big beefy carbon spear blade and the locking screwdriver blade makes for an interesting, if unlikely, general use pocketknife. It is among my favorite patterns and I'd actually seriously considered doing challenge GAW with one instead of the stockman. I hope your friend enjoys it and I'm glad it stands to get some use! Even though I'm down to just a few of the x318s, the only one that really gets any pocket time is my punch model in CV. The Pocket Worn red 6318 with the "standard" clip might start seeing some pocket time, too, but the others I have are pretty much relegated to their boxes (a shame, too, because the barnboard bone 6318 I have is beautiful).

I've got a wood-handled four-line Camillus en route that puts my current one to shame. The only real issue is a missing bail, and I'm seriously considering filling in the hole with a couple pins for the "elegant jack" look. The blades are shockingly clean for a WW2-era knife. Clearly this one wasn't issued or, if it was, the linesman who received it preferred to use something else. I may take the opportunity to do another challenge GAW with one of my newer TL-29s (I've got 2-3 different versions of each of the newer Camillus tang stamps, including two "hard users", so I think I can afford to let one go ).
