I'm sorry, but the Striders are about as ugly as Willem Dafoe in drag. I just can't get down like that.

Plenty of variety as far as knives out there. Keeps it fresh and lets people with different tastes enjoy EDCing a blade. I happen to find Striders aesthetically pleasing and they perform quite well.

Exactly! I seem to like just about everything knife-wise, some just more than others. They do have be well made.

That's why I enjoy knives as an art form, they all boil down to the same tool, but oh so many ways to get there!

Bingo! There is an underlying standard that all knives I enjoy must meet. It isn't the same fo all knives, but there is a standard. I will never talk about bad quality knives from strider because they do make a very well made knife, but it's just ugly in my eyes. I have handled them, they do fit well, but function is the only aestetic they seem to pay attention to, not so much form.

Personally, I will never talk bad about anyones work if they do quality work.. No matter what it is, or how I feel about them. One guy I have known for years, can't stand him, or trust him farther than I can throw him, but he is the best welder I know. I have actually fought the guy in years past, but I still won't talk crap about his work. He's just that good.

Now, don't get me started on this DFK guy, he is just a piece of work, I would never say I like his work publically :p he's not even a normal human being! Sasquatch making knives, geeze(!) Who does he think he is?! :D

Btw, the teak rigger mkes a great steak knife! Used it today on my lunch :)

White Stripes - Awesome!!! In my old band we played "Black Math" and "7 Nation Army"... stuff I can actually pay on guitar, lol. They are a favorite. The Raconteurs are pretty good too.

Have a good one, overtime pay always rocks!

Lycosa, cool! Love bobcats. We get them every so often, and up in the hills I've seen a couple cougars several hundred feet away... scary cats...

Don't know if you caught this pic or not, my backyard.. where I've seen 3 so far:

Good evening . Just got back to town from the mountains. We had a great trip! It is backpacking trips like this that recharges our mental batteries. I am soooooo burnt ,literally sun burnt, and just tired. That high mountain sun is not at all the same as this smog filtered valley sun. I won't foget sunscreen next time or maybe I will just make Jen shade me with a parasol while we hike:D If there was a taco truck in the back country of the high Sierra's I don't think I would ever come home:DHave a good night y'all.

Evening ya bilge rats and skaliwags.

Been a rough day, I've been on kid duty since about 9am. No shop time today. The wife went and hung out with her girlfriends and stuff like that, Zyler and I just hung out. I went shoping online, got a head coming for your tripod Daniel, put a bid in on another vintage rangefinder camera, watching a few other auctions pretty close right now too.

Just finished playing cards with the wife and Zyler is watching a movie. I'm considering tearing into one of my cameras to repair it, but you know how projects like that go, they can snowball pretty quick! But at $75/hour labor for the repair shop I'm not gonna pay it for a $150 camera.
