Good morning Daniel and other people.
I have two days trying to solve a problem in a computer network and I've only gotten to know which wire is.
They are only 50 m cable ....
I need a new optical fiber fusion splicer, somebody's finances?

Good morning guys!

Morning crew.

Another day at work for me while the wife and kid are out on the jet ski with grandma and grandpa. Oh well, I'm not fond of jet skis much, anyways.

I brought some paracord, my spike and fid, and the ABoK with me to kill some time today. Gonna try something new!

Make it a good one! I want to see what you come up with too!

Good morning!

Optical fiber fusion splicer? let me get to work on one for you, I have a full set of tools!

I used to sell beads made of fused fiber optic material... "cats eye." It knaps into arrowheads too!

I've been working a ton lately pushing hard... lots of knives getting made and a few getting umm... well I'm getting better at advanced technique! I have been working on the knife business pretty much non-stop! I'm waiting on more folder gear/tooling and need to order some more... my focus for the next few days will be getting knives out there. Pics, etc... I spent the last two days just working on stuff that is essentially finished by making improvements.Yesterday I got in much needed new belts and improved the 1095 wharnie and 5160 tanto to a near zero grind... the wharnie was a very early knife and I bet I took more metal off the grind than the first time!

Today is our 10th wedding anniversary! We're going to find something fun to do! :D

Hey congrats bro! Tell Sara we're all very sorry to hear she has been sentenced to such a long internment, lol!

Now get off the computer and go remind your wife why you got hitched in the first place!

I'll take some pics of my fingers tied in knots...

Exactly!

We're taking turns baby wrangling... she's a wild one! She just opened the fridge and pointed to some soy sauce with a bear on the label, growled and shook her head! "bear noises" She can do every animal noise, it is too funny!

The splicer cheaper than sold online are € 5000, but not approved by Andorra Telecom ...
I'll have to invest almost € 10,000 on a Fujikura 18r.

Daniel congratulations on your 10th wedding anniversary.
Something fun to do? Repeat what you did at the wedding night

Well, I decided to practice a knot that gives me fits, and appearantly still does. I keep gettin a twist in the lays somehow. I did a single strand star knot with cinch loop. Single strand 8 plait button as a stopper. Pull the stopper and the loop cinches down tight.

I need to practice this star knot with some stiffer cord, I have some 1/16" Marlow quick cord that might work. Also, I'm going to make a smaller fid for paracord, on complex knots this fat one is a bit too much.

Fast14riot Wow, my fingers can not do that kind of knot. I have what in Spanish is called "a bunch of dicks."
Be very good in a knife.

Lol, first time I have heard that expression! Curious, how is it written/spoke in your native language? The spanish spoken here is far from traditional.

Yes, this knot is an awesome knife lanyard, I originally learned of it from member here Stormdrane.

Usually I do not speak Spanish, and my Spanish nor Mexican sounds ...
In Spanish it is "manojo de pollas" is used when you have no skill with fingers or has very thick and short.

That language reggatoneros Daddy Yankee and others (not music or anything similar) can not be called Spanish.
Here is known as Spanglish.
I do not write or speak English, google translate is my friend

Daniel, Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! That is awesome I wish you and Sara many more happy years! Kermmack,That made me laugh out loud. I even showed my wife as she speaks Spanish. She just said "hmmmm I never heard that saying before?" and that made me laugh even harder.
Xander, your knot sucks!:D
I have one more pile to sort out and my friend is coming over tomorrow to help with the wiring . It is getting close to me being able to burn my fingers and grind my knuckles off.I can't wait!!!

The Spanish of Spain is very different from spanish Latin.
Same words, but according to the country have different meanings.
For example "coger" is Spain means grasping, in some countries the same word means "have sex"

There is a myth that in Spain all sunshine, bullfights and flamenco.
But that is only true in Andalucia, my ancestors are from a region of Galicia, where the language is Galician (ancient language) and a culture similar to the Irish.
We have Celtic ancestors.

Capo beware that bite and if cables are energized are poisonous.
Certainly in USA still uses 127 V?

Too funny, that saying! Here we use "I'm all thumbs" if we don't have the dexterity required of our hands.

Yeah, the spanish here has been butchered terribly. I don't speak it very well at all, but even I can tell the difference between someone who learned it in spanish class, or a native speaker. Regionally it varies quite a bit as well. Dominican and Puerto Rican spanish have words for things that traditional mexican spanish doesn't and also same word with different meanings. Even "Texican" spanish is different from Californian spanglish. Lots of slang in it, often times english words are thrown in the middle of a sentence during conversation.

Hell, even when I talk to my good friend from south Texas we have various things we don't understand what each other means, and we both speak english! Well, I speak english anyways, them Texans speak somethin else... :p

Kevin - thanx bro. Oh, and don't let Greg fool ya, 220V hurts real bad, turn it off! 110V is kinda ticklish to me, but not real good either. Maybe try the fake electrocution trick with him and tape his reaction :D

Oh, and I'm not even bringing the other languages common in mexico and california into this like Zapotec and its variants! I cannot understand it at all, and it is not spanish.

In Spain there are even more variations of Spanish, there are expressions that are used only in very small areas and are not understood and the more south of the country worst means the language.
In Seville used the phrase "que pasa quillo" which means "hey dude" and in parts of Catalonia "que hace neng"
And in theory is the same language
The Zapotec and other indigenous languages are difficult, English and Spanish share certain forms of expression, but the English language has much of Nordic

Just checking in on you guys, making sure the chat room didn't cat
ch fire or anything. :p We have had a great day today.

Funny stuff on language, when I lived in the islands I found aout about half the wrds are made up or just known by a small group... I have a notebook with some of the funny stuff written down. Reggaeton? awesome! reminds me of the gas station in St.Thomas, lol! The dudes who owned the gas station were from the middle east but rocked Puerto Rican eveything, lol! In St.Thomas there is also a French part of the island where everyone spoke the oddest dialect...

Nice work Xander!

Texas slang... they don't know what we're talking 'bout!

If reggaeton, that infernal noise. They say it's music or something.
They should ban it and shoot all singers.

Super moon tonight! I just took some test shots to figure out settings so I know what I need to do at 4:32am when its at its closest! I am using f/7.1 at 1/160 shooting iso 100 with a 450mm lens. I know it sounds backwards, but you shoot the moon the same way you shoot beach/bright snow scenes.

I will try to get some pics up here in the coming days!
