It's 68F in the "clean room" of the shop... winter here sucks though! Hot out, good insulation though... the other morning my kiln read 49F.

I've been etching a damascus dashi for way too long now... looks killer though! I was trying for a deep yet blinging etch, finally got it!

I ordered more folder stuff last night... soon come!

We need some Ween! ..just heard some on Pandora... I used to listen to this album daily when I was a Chef, once a waitress was in the back and looked at me... this isn't country! lmao yes it is Ween what did you think I listened to freaking new country!!!! too funny...

WEEN!!!!! I love the fact that there is only 10 songs on that album LOL. Such good stuff! I realized that I can not just unplug the dryer and plug in the grinder:( Oh well time to get my buddy over here to get this thing going!!

You may be able to buy an adapter for that, not too sure but I hope you get grinding soon!

Yeah the good albums only have a few songs! I can fit almost any of my favorite albums on a CD twice...

Hi Gang!
Daniel- Stay away from Broke Back Mt.

Will do, lol!

Country - I grew up seeing some spectacular live Country acts at SPJST halls in rural TX, wild stuff straight out of the movies.

As a kid I took a few guitar lessons from the guitarist in "Sons of the Desert," they made it big!

These guys were the hottest local band when I was growing up, lol I was probably at the show. I can't believe I found

this!

Mornin y'all!

10 tracks to an album is about right. That's how you know its old music because the album was designed to fit on a single LP! Although, quite the opposite from the hardcore punk where I can get 60-70 tracks on a single CD! Songs are only a minute long or so.

I'm not a big fan of Ween, but it is good music, for classic country I prefer Ray Charles actually.

Back to work for a day, then off tomorrow. At least its a paid holiday for me.

Now back to work, all of you!!! :D

I am trying to find a adapter today.wish me luck! One of my favorite 7" lps has 22 songs but the whole thing is about 10 min. long haha Those crazy puck rockers!

Kevin, there is an electrical supply out on TeePee drive, I can't remember the name right now, but they have all kinds of stuff. Also check out Milano's Hardware on Charter west of I-5, they pretty much have everything you could ever need there, and if not their machine shop can make it, big or small.

Another slow boring day at the pet store... I keep thinking about knives...

...folding knives...

Man I miss some good ol' country. Grew up 15 minutes from Lukenbach was there all the time causing mischief.

Today is my "friday" got 4 days weekend baby!!!:D Have a good one guys!

WooWee! Let the good beer flow! Enjoy your mini vacation.

I got shafted for the holiday weekend, I had Mon Tue off and work today, the off tomorrow and work all weekend. Only upside is I get to use the AC at work not at home! My electric bill is gonna b ridiculous this month, another 106 day tomorrow and to top it off 56% humidity just to make the parade extra miserable.

But I do get sat and sun off in a couple of weeks for the wifes birthday, she's finally turning 30!

Have a happy and safe 4th everyone! 237th birthday of our great country!

Thanks! Pretty hot here in cali lately and the AC is full on....work and home, just too hot!:o

Enjoy your days off!

I hear fireworks already!!:D Happy 4th

Ugh, I got a stupid design in my head, been trying to work it out on paper for the past couple hours. I'm tired, need some sleep. I really need a cad program and internet on the lap top. I have 3 books on folding knives open right now, trying to figure out what geometry applies to what part of my ideas. Eraser dust everywhere, curves, templates, scratch paper. Now I see how one becomes a sasquatch!

Off to bed to sleep on it.

...........folding knives......huh.

One step closer! I don't even design anymore, just wake up and make what I was dreaming about all night. :D

What books! I want the Lake book next... my parents found a used book from the 1980's about making folders, it is awesome! I can read on that subject all day.

Hi Gang!
Enjoy your time off!
Happy Red, White and YOU! :D

How To Make Folding Knives by Lake, Centofante, and Clay. I'm borrowing it from Kevin right now. Great book.

Well, the parade starts in a bit so we're headed out! Good thing the parade route is only 100 yards from my house!

Thanks Kevin! I may have to hit you u for that later...

If I make a slipjoint it will be DFK all the way! They sound like a specialty of their own so I will focus on framelocks but it would be cool to make one!

Dashi, nice!

I've been at the mill all day and have a framelock closer! I'm doing one at a time for a bit until I am 100% happy with my process... but I think I may have it figured out now!

I can tell I need about 20 more drill presses... I must have done 100 tool changes this morning! :D no kidding! I'm really excited that I feel great about the process... I keep learning little tricks.

You guys have a good one! I'm about to get the BBQ cranking!
