Good afternoon ! A lazy day for me . I am just chillin' with Jen and making a new kiridashi for myself. Nice thin and razory.

Hey guys!

I just came back from doing some exploring, we went to a couple of lakes near Durango Mountain/Purgatory ski resort... Lake Haviland was cool.

Dan that sounds awesome! You take some pics?

Ash and I took a trip to the local Wolf Sanctuary to meet some packs. They were so cute, but WOO can some wolves get big!! I'm 6'2" and some wolves would be taller then me standing. One had paws bigger then my hands! So mighty and beautiful. I wanted to hug one :(. The handler was making out with one; cool and creepy at the same time!

Afternoon y'all!

Just got home from applying for a government job, got my alcohol, tobacco and just waitin for the firearms and I should be ready to go! Lol!

My weekend has officially started. Getting in the shop tomorrow and nothing is going to stop me! Its supposed to be cooling down into the high 80's too.

FJ- thanx for that link, but its written a bit odd. Those aren't "jobs" they're just dfferent capacities to work for yourself. I liked working for myself, but out here in Kalifornia its brutal on small businesses. Nevermind that Stockton is currently the largest city in the US to file bankruptcy leading to a hostile climate between business owners and city gov't, usually over fees and permits. Either way, interesting blog and right up my alley.

Kevin, I didn't know you had anything other than lazy daze :p

Daniel, I really miss exploring the gold country where my grandparents used to live. They lived only 6 miles from Sutter Mill, the gold discovery site. I knew where several covered/burried mine shafts were, not on any maps. Pretty dangerous stuff, but I was too young to do anything anyways. Found a few suspected grave sites as well.

Farchyld- wolves are immense and awesome animals. Small males topping out around 110#. I have met a few "domestic" wolves, handlers here have to have permits from the Depeartment of Fish and Game. Anything proven to be more than 50% wolf genetics needs a permit. Ocassionlly, I get customers who say their dog is part wolf, but really its white shepherd once I see it. You can never trust a wolf.

Well, between dancing with Zyler to "yeah yeah yeah" by the Vibrators and chugging my tall boy SN I'm ready to call it an evening! The wifes best friend showed up and kidnapped her for the night so its just the guys! Life is good! Steaks are on and the tunes are pumping.

Cheers fellas!

Hey Xander! I think that entry is more interesting for me because I was supposed to be a lawyer per my raising. When I became a cop all my friends told me I was crazy. Turns out I make more than half the lawyers I know. This makes me interested in the oddball employment that I might have overlooked. Look through his getting started section. It has links to the entries I think are truly amazing talking about early retirement.

My son is currently slobbering on me. We aren't to the dancing stage yet. That will be fun though!!!

Cool! We forgot the camera, next time I'll have to bring it!

All I have done is small business, I really understand... without getting political all I have to say is that everyone's perspective is real or normal to them but after traveling around it's not all the same! Fees and paperwork add up to work and some places make you do way more than others.

Good stuff there, interesting! I read the blog more.. I might be screwing up! lol

Techno Composer - I have done that!

Sara and I have done sales or "manufacturing" (knives and jewelry) and I think money is in service for sure. You can import your jewelry from China but not your repair man!

The biggest employer in my area is British Petroleum, after that we have tons of tourist shops selling Chinese stuff... I'm doing my best to keep the local economy going!

Funny stuff - when I lived in the Caribbean the local rastas sold lots of carvings, woven hats, gourd bowls, etc... after I got to know them I'd see them in the mornings buying the gear from an importer! he had a stand next to mine and would dump wheelbarrow loads of hats, wood carvings, etc all from China! yah mon! Same with the fruit they "picked" too, Dole! too funny seeing this, these dudes knew what to sell at least

Happy Monday!
Kick off the week right!!
rolf

Monday!!! You guys have a good one!

This reminds me I need to get my music out there! I made a CD and passed it out for a while but need to locate the master, it went missing but is around. I want to put it online...

Morning y'all!

Daniel, I have one track still floating around the internet on AcidPlanet.com that I did over 7 years ago. I just logged in and its still there, but I can't play it on my phone. Don't know if you have an account there or not, but I have the same screen name over there. You need to be logged in to listen to it.

Ugh, jury duty. I called in this morning and have to call back after 5 today. Hope it doesn't go any further than that.

Gonna get some chow, then out to the shop!

Were you the bassist?

I did all of the music from scratch... programmed the machines, soft synths, drum machines, etc... played guitar, drums, bass, keys, percussion, etc. I took samples from my own playing too, tiny bits from obscure records but no obvious samples, maybe one drum hit would get programmed into my drum set... I was seriously into music for a while, my CD probably had 2000 hours or more into it. Everything was played by me, produced and mixed myself.

I used to have a "social club" at my old house, we had sort of a band with a revolving set of locals. Every Sunday we played for years. I usually played the drums but we did it all...

Kevin, don't forget to put up your magic unicorn key rack by the back door so you don't lose those keys again!

Well, I started getting hungry and began to make some misakes so I put down my project and came in. I don't know if I can get back out there tonight, so tomorrow morning for sure.

Zyler got home from school and decided he needed to ride his bike in the house with his new helmet...
