We're thinking of your friend Rolf!

I agree too, e try to cook all of our meals at home because of that but I should still eat better.

Hey guys!

Hey Ben! Whats up!

Been busy here, sanding the Nikiri at the moment. (while I type, right!) I had it up to 1000 grit then back to 800... taking the edge to 2000. looking good but still needs a bit more work. I have sanded it for a day now, lol!

I might work on the pair of choppers after lunch.

USed this earlier but GET TO THE CHOPPA!

Also, maybe a fighter :O

I'm stuck elbows deep in antiquated server poop. people keep cheaping out on their hardware and expect me to resuscitate it when it trys to die.

Good afternoon Dudes. Rolf, Best wishes for your homie ,homie! They have made some amazing advances in heart surgery it would seem. My friends wife just had heart surgery and was feeling good enough that she wanted to go home 2 days after having 2 valves worked on.She already had a pig valve implanted years ago.Now she is talking about going on a backpacking trip.
Have a sweeeeeeeet day y'all!

sounds good!

When I snowboarded 3 days a week I had a blast and stayed in shape...

Just in from grinding... I oiled the two Camp Knives in "felt camo" and they are looking good!

The "Felt Camo" scales are just what they sound like, I made my own scale material with layers of grey, black, green, brown and tan felt.

It's as light as can be but seems to grind slower than steel. Good stuff! I used an epoxy made for attaching airplane wings.

Hey guys!

Had a nice lazy morning, got to sleep in til 830! The boys school was closed for an inservice day. My resident couch bum, the wifes uncle, had a job interview today and they set up a drug test for him already so that looks promising! I need my house back!

Slow day at work, just been getting everything ready for our physical inventory count tomorrow. Ugh, I will be here until 2:00am, maybe later! Of course, I have to work the next day as well...

Been going over maps, making new ones, and lots of studying for the antelope trip in 3 weeks with my dad and brother. Cool thing is, even though my dad is the only one with an antelope tag, no lisence is equired to hunt coyotes in Nevada, so I can still have a little fun! Mostly, I will be the navigator and photographer though.

Oh, anyone have any tips for an inexpensive and easy to make machete sheath? Lots of sage and scrub brush up there and if I want to build a blind I'm gonna need some chopping tools. I might just use duct tape and paper bag for now.

Have a good evening y'all!

Machete sheath... I like the duct tape idea!

When I lived in the islands about half the people out in the country carried a machete, myself included. No sheath, just keep in the hand. That might be a bit odd to do here, lol.

The guys who cut cane or use one a lot carry a file used for sharpening wrapped in light cardboard.

I bet you can throw together something fast.

A scrap of aluminum would make an awesome liner if you can source one, wrap it in something interesting!

I still have a scar where I cut my leg clearing trees with a machete for the shop. It was (is) sharp! 2" trees gone in one swipe. Be careful!

How's the hunter going?

Thanks Rolf!

Thanx for the idea about aluminum, I'll see what I can come up with.

The hunter is still as you saw it last, been busy. I hope to get it ready for HT soon. It needs just an hour os so of grinding at higher grits and hand sanding to get it ready. I'm also going back and forth on bolsters. I need to see if the pinstock I have matches the bolster material well enough.

Off to the flea market this morning, I haven't been in months! Finally get a day to go, and I still have to work tonight at 5:00.

Love me some speed goat hunting, this year its going to be interesting trying to get one with the bow. Thought id add a bit of challenge instead of poking em at 500 yds. Antelope are wiley suckers. Hope your all having a great weekend.

Speed Goats, I like it! We have antelope in my area but I have never seen one.

I have been grinding Ti here, folder scales!

My dads goal is to take it with a pistol! Archery would be fun, but 14 hours in a blind just doesn't appeal to me. I am gonna get me some 'yotes though! Hoping we find some early rut goats

Just got back from the flea market and we scored two button machines for $10! Gonna have some fun with this thing! Kevin, I'm gonna make you a button with a magic unicorn on it! Maybe even Charlie the unicorn! (Youtube it if you don't know about charlie the unicorn)

Lunch time, then I'm going to try and take a nap before work. Gonna be a long night.

Nice score! Sara had one as a kid and made all sorts of good stuff!

My Dad knew a guy that went deer hunting with a knife! he must have enjoyed a challenge

I want a black powder pistol kit, sounds like a fun project.

Well men it is almost a month since my spinal fusion. I am hoping to be able to start shooting my bow in the next few weeks. DR said no tree stands this year so ground blinds it will be. Ones that I can almost drive to.Hope everyone is having a great Saturday!!!

Hey Big , It sounds like you are doing well with your recovery. That is great! Enjoy the hunting!
I watched my 9 year old Nephew today. The first thing he wanted to do is make a knife. So I gave him some paper and told him to design a knife he liked. He came up with a pretty cool design. So he ground it out and I just evened things out for him. Next week he is coming back over to take the kydex sheath making 101 course :D Have a good one folks!
