Good to hear, Daniel! In the mean time I've found an abandoned axe that I decided to refinish. It already looks years better with the gray paint stripped, sanded, and the head starting to be reground.

I'm up ,I'm up!.........and it is only noon. Jen set the alarm to wake me up when she left for work.I only hit snooze 4 times haha.
I got the coolest shaped piece of scrap/cut off yesterday. It is going to be a sweet and wicked little blade! I really like looking at a odd shaped piece of steel and creating something out of it. It is like the steel tells me what it wants to become. OOh crap ,now the steel is talking to me :D

Good morning, everyone! Got some bloodwood and blackwood scales ordered in prep for when my knives are back from HT. They looked good online, I hope they look better in person :)

I hope everyone's day is off to a great start. It was a calm 49 when I stepped outside at 7am, but it will reach about 70 today. Perfect weather imo.

Good morning everyone!

Lots going on here! Today I'm finishing up some sheaths/random stuff and working on mailing a bunch of knives out.



On a random note I am making some magnetic kitchen knife holders! I needed one now that my kitchen knives are all sharp and looking good... I'm slowly upgrading all of them.

I'm using curly maple, birdseye maple and rosewood... the same rosewood they use on guitar fretboards! The maple will likely be treated with aniline dye... :cool: just like a custom sunburst guitar.

I'll have a few for sale!

Hoooooooooooooooooooooowl!!! Man, how we change over time... My life used to be mostly night... now, up at 6am or earlier... sleep around 10pm maybe earlier maybe 11pm, MAYBE... Used to eat dinner at 9pm HAH.. well kids definitely change us.. same with AGE..

And.. yes... PHOTOS WTH THIS IS INSANELY USELESS WITHOUT PHOTOS.. of knives of course, no funk please.. unless its BASS.

lycosa, those "firefighter" ( http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/613219-Fireman-EDC-knife/page2 ) CRKT knives.. are uhm fun... I found spine wacking disengaged the lock, on accident. Was "chopping" and the back swing caught the log and the blade closed on me, lightly, but lock bar geometry lends itself to this IMO..

and throwing it works great! but ends up killing it.. G10 chipping off. The blade steel, dunno what soft steel it is, but the tip, about 3/4in, did a nice 30degree bend. I left it as is until I thought we should see how soft it is.. and the blade just snapped in half.. clip screws long gone.. and the knife is now gone! One less in circulation!

Evening guys.

I just heard from our friend Bigcountry1315, and without specifics, he and his wife could use all of our thoughts and prayers. They will be travelling and away from the computer, so please try not to inundate them with PM's and emails. Let's all send some smoke to the heavens for Mike and his wife!
