I weighed in early on this one and voted for the subforum, and now that I've seen both sides I'm finding myself agreeing with everyone.
I do like the banter and friendliness everyone shares here. My only real pet peeve is I don't relate to people who want to post their personal problems here. I guess I do appreciate when someone puts "OT" in the thread name so that I can just avoid it. But why not post those where they're on topic (it's a rhetorical question; don't need an explanation). I think this wouldn't even come up, and Spark et al wouldn't even consider it if so many OT threads weren't popping up. Maybe we could just reign it in with the kidney stone/hernia/hemorrhoids threads?
I don't mention my personal problems. I have always been very shy and like to keep things to my self though. BTW- not a god way to be, but thats me
If any of my many friends I have made HERE want to open up with what's on there mind, ask for prayers, or just wanna tell whatever's bothering them I feel very glad to help them in any way I can. Prayer, smoke sent or what ever they ask for.
So many people here have helped me in many ways other than Knives. I can't stress enough this is a Busse community here, not just a place to talk about knives.
Many here have pitched in to bump good folk up to Gold when they were in need, gave alot away on post count give aways, pass arounds, great humor, and many more things that just make this place special.
I think if you get to know some people here better and maybe get to Blade or some show and meet some of us you will understand why we care about each other.

first im going to say that I am not a busse owner (though i do know which one i want to get first

The way to learn more about the knives is to come in and actually participate in the community.

i must say that i have definatly experianced that guyon. and its a great community! i guess i wouldnt mind seeing an area for a bit more "serious" aspect. either way, keep up the good work guys.

Totally agree...I have learned a ton in such a short time. I think it's kind of interesting reading about your fellow busse fans. Makes you realize your not alone when it comes to the infi addiction. :thumbup:

Feel free to be as "serious" as you want. Ask any question and it will get answered very fast. This place could not have more "serious" knife talk. Check out any knife room anywhere and see if you can find talk as serious as it gets here. And we have fun to boot.
Just look at the one's you want and ignore the rest. You'll still find more serious talk here.
If your here in 6 months you will have a differant view I think. I had some of the same thoughts you did when I first got here.

considering that i dont even qualify as bacon greese in terms of busse knowledge, i will take your word for it. i will be around in 6 months (hopefull by then i will have my first busse) i can assure you. looks like its time that i ask a bunch of questions!

I think it's safe to consider the idea a total failure at this point. I'm ready to just let the notion die.
I'd like to note that I am not expressing that I have little interest in the community. I like the community very much, I just felt that, as large as it is getting these days, it would be nice to have a place to keep all the off topic threads since there are so many. It's not a way to punish or condemn the community, as some clearly see it, just a way to make things tidier and easier to navigate with the ever-growing fan base, here.

its been pretty cold by socal standards. we are expecting two storms this week. probably some heavy rain through the weekend, which is a good thing. though i was hoping to do a little hiking with tyrkon and paul.
so long as the rain subsides by mon or tues, im supposed to go camping next thursday. my first trip since last may.
