Hell of a day, started off getting a royal reaming from the boss, but finished off with a surprised 'attaboy from her and a realization that I'm not just goofing off all day.
Got home just as the wife was putting dinner on the table, pork chops, asparagus, smashed potatoes (from scratch). Lots of benefit being with a trained chef...
Bobby, remember two things, always take Daniels advice, and always start the longest cooking item first. Next time, throw the bread in the oven under the broiler on the top rack for 2 minutes at 400°. Hope you didn't toss that bread, cut into cubes, brush with oil, throw them in the oven and make croutons for a salad. Oh, about that first thing, only 50% of what he tells you is true, but you have to figure out which half is which
Just as I was leaving work today, I get a company email from payroll, we get paid tomorrow (two days early) so we all have our money for black Friday, lol! I see where their priorities lay...
