Hey guys!

Sounds fun Bobby!

Folders - going well! 5 completed this week, 2 more just behind, 6 more drilled and ready to do detent/lockbar milling. I'm about to order some belts so I can grind the rest!

Today is gonna a be a good day, weather is so nice out right now! It's only about 60° and is forecast to get to 87°.

Shot this at 0645 on my way to the coffee shop...

Make it fantastic fellas! I might be buying another camera today, it's one I kinda want but the wife really wants it, Fuji Instax neo 90. It's a modern poloroid type but actually has lots of control like shutter speed, focus, flash, etc. Although the wife is gonna find out just how expensive it is to shoot film, let alone instant film at about $7 for 10 shots!

That Fuji looks like a blast. I occasionally shoot the medium format sized pack film on my small horseman handheld - lots of fun. The fuji would be much more convenient.

(Still sad I sold my old SX-70 - but talk about expensive film...)

I think it will be fun. It's not too expensive either, have found several deals for right around $220 with 6 to 10 packs of film. Although I think buying this film in bulk is gonna be the ticket to keeping costs down and the wife already complains about how much film I have stored in the freezer, lol! Calling a horseman 4x5 small is kinda funny, lol! Yeah a SX-70 would really be a "for the love of the art" type camera...

^ Nice!

I forget the camera but my Dad has a Polaroid camera that is collapsible. We used to take a pic and then delaminate the film... use a toothpick to add effect before everything set. My Dad did some cool stuff with it!

Collapsible poloroid is probably one of their "land cameras" which were quite popular. That is if it had a bellows that collapsed into the front. I see those at flea markets every once in a while, film for those is near impossible to find and expensive or expired or both when you do.

I like shooting expired film sometimes, it can be fun especially when cross processed. Though all I can X-pro is E6 slide film through C-41 color print film because that's all my lab will do. I really need to get my own developing stuff set up, hopefully I can get a tank that will take 4x5, 120 and 35mm rolls as I would like to eventually get into large format (4x5 and bigger).

If he was manipulating the images it could well have been TimeZero from an SX-70, which was also collapsible. I did a whole gallery show of very large scans and prints of manipulated TimeZero polaroids back in the late 1990s.

Original polaroid film will certainly be expired, but might be ok if it has been kept refrigerated (not frozen). But yes - commonly sells for upwards of $50 for 10 shots.

"Impossible Project" has released several films that will work in the older cameras - but also expensive (and frankly, not as good).

I just noticed in my pic above that there is an iridescent cloud in it! Kinda cool! Anyone else spot it?

Afternoon DFK fans. Been having internet trouble lately. I really really wish I could get a cable modem out here.

Hey IMWILSON! We got faster internet through our phone line here a few years ago and I have to say I really appreciate it. The phone line is strung through the trees in parts but it works, lol! I hope they get on it soon!

I'm still looking for it Xander! Awesome pic...

Hey thanks for the info Liamstrain! Cool stuff!

Daniel, the iridescent out is a tiny green one, near the top, 1/3 from the left edge of frame. I did t notice it until I got it on a bigger screen.

Hey guys!

I see it now X, that is crazy! lime green blob...

All weekend I have been doing my best to tie up any loose ends on the knives... lots done! If the weather cooperates I'll have Ironwood Tanto pics! They are done but I was rained out on pics yesterday. Knives, sheaths, shipping!

I'm still knocking out orders on fixed blades from a long ways back and have 4 to go! I'm hoping to bring back fixed blades as soon as I can (Ti BOK, Ti and Steel Backpacker are planned first with Hunters and Pocket Fighters next... and I still want to make that Dive Knife!) ) but I'm really enjoying the folders and want to build my shop in that direction for a while.

Dive knife and a sword would be phenominal. Ive been using the same old spyderco for a dive knife for years and its all kinds of beat to hell.

Thanks! I used to dive a lot and have always wanted to make a dive knife. The old Tekna dive knife is an all time old-school favorite. I'm thinking .140" Titanium, integral design. The sheath is key too!

One day I'm going to work on a couple more swords and send them off for heat treat. I have a piece of CPM3V that is just calling... plus I'd like to do more in S7.
