Cheap but good EDC??????

I like my blur. Have you checked out kershaw guys blems? He has a ton of user knives for arond $30

For another $10 you can buy a cold steel lawman. Its my favorite edc at any price.

Check out the Kershaw Compound, I just got one and i think it is a great knife for the money, in fact I think it is worth more. 3 5/8 inch blade, solid lock up, smooth as silk and assisted opening.

From cheaper to more expensive the following 3 seem well suited to most of the (city based) cutting tasks I've encountered:

1 - Kershaw Clash (amazing for the money).

2 - Spyderco Endura (some prefer the Delica but the Endura gives you some extra blade length).

3 - Kershaw Blur (A classic and fun to open).

I agree with Grateful. The Ka-bar Dozier Folding hunter is a mighty nice knife for the money. Around twenty bucks at most places.

The legendary Buck 110....

Or if you like something lighter in weight, the new Buck 110 EcoLite....

CRKT M16-14D or any with the AUS8.

Even better is the M21 G10 or aluminum. The M16 have a weird chisel/hollow grind.

If your going for really cheap, the Kabar Warthog isn't a bad knife at all mine had a good solid lock up and the blade stayed sharp for a good long time.

I like the KA-BAR Dozier Folding Hunter series for really affordable EDC folders. For something bigger, the RAT-1 from Ontario is nice.

I also am a huge fan of spyderco which has an economy line (called byrd) that i hear are good knives for a good price
