Buck 303. You can pick it up for under 40 dollars and it will last you the rest of your life. Doesn’t get much cheaper then that.

Like many others have said. SAK/Victorinox, Mora and Opinel will not only be easy on the wallet but also outperform knives significantly more expensive.

Another mention would be Buck. They are not as consistent through out the lineup as the above mentioned brands but they still have some fantastic values.
