I ended up buying a black linen from a dealer who sells them on ebay. I didn't want to attempt the fastfingers route. Still love the 71 pattern.

The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:

Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
It feels fine to me. I supposed if you were doing a lot of grunt work with the knife, barehanded, it might make a hot spot for your fingers, but otherwise I think it is unobtrusive. Can anyone attest to how the knife feels in the hand with the blade out and the cap lifter down? I feel like part of the appeal to the sodbuster pattern is its ergonomics and I'm wondering if the cap lifter kind of ruins it for anyone here?
Right on, thanks for your reply. There are still a few dealers who havent dropped their stock yet so I'm trying to decide if I want to watch them like a hawk to try and get one for myself lol.It feels fine to me.
