Cheers! GEC Sudbuster 715222

I ended up buying a black linen from a dealer who sells them on ebay. I didn't want to attempt the fastfingers route. Still love the 71 pattern.

Just received this today . My first 71 and I think that we will be good friends .

Pulls are about 7 & 7 , No Gaps , No Blade Rap , Both Blades Centered very well , No Scratches on either Blade , Covers are as smooth as a baby's --- , Does not feel like a Gritty Action but will flush tomorrow anyhow , Sharpened to my satisfaction , Like the Steel Liners , Tip of Blade is Not Proud , Have Not Tried the Cap Lifter .
Neither Blade is flush to the Back Spring , Will have to round corners of the Liners at the end of the Blade Wells but that is my pet peeve not a defect .
Found out that I have run out of enough Leather Thong Material and will have to Remedy that soon .

Can anyone attest to how the knife feels in the hand with the blade out and the cap lifter down? I feel like part of the appeal to the sodbuster pattern is its ergonomics and I'm wondering if the cap lifter kind of ruins it for anyone here?

It feels fine to me. I supposed if you were doing a lot of grunt work with the knife, barehanded, it might make a hot spot for your fingers, but otherwise I think it is unobtrusive.

Right on, thanks for your reply. There are still a few dealers who havent dropped their stock yet so I'm trying to decide if I want to watch them like a hawk to try and get one for myself lol.

TSA Knives just dropped their stock. I just bought mine, get em while they're hot!
