Chipping in Spyderco S30V

Well beer cans (up to half liter) are still made from steel over here and i never had any problems cutting them into pieces.

I have noticed edge wear by cutting cat food cans, that are, made of steel too but definatly thicker.

Well, I'm sure beer cans in Europe are made of aluminum. Doesn't matter if it's Hungarian, German, Chech, Danish and Dutch beer.

Yupp, it's true. I just checked every can in my fridge with a magnet.

Cat food cans are really made from quite thick steel.

Of the S30V knives I've owned...Native, Mini-Manix, Manix, Sebenza, Custom Fixed, only the Native chipped. So I don't think there is a problem with the steel. As Sal said, it's more likely a sharpening/thin edge issue that can be resolved.
