If we have the same date, it shouldn't count as hijacking huh?

Congratulations on the Umnumzaan, it's at the very top of my list of what to buy next. The lockup that you show in the picture is that pretty much standard for a new Umnumzaan?
Enjoy!
Just to elaborate on what Jim said a little bit, the late-seeming lockup is nothing to worry about -- it's supposed to be that way. What contacts with the blade tang is actually not the titanium (for which wear/travel would be an issue) but rather a small ceramic ball embedded in the middle of the lock face (for which wear/travel will be negligible).Congratulations on the Umnumzaan, it's at the very top of my list of what to buy next. Congrats on the new knife, Jim. I'm a fan of the Umnumzaan too -- just a very well-thought-out, well-made knife.

Yep, that's exactly right.Gotcha, I had heard that it uses a ceramic detent but your saying that there is also a ceramic ball at the top of the lockbar (some companies use a steel insert to prevent wear) that makes contact with the tang rather than the titanium? If I'm understanding you correctly that sounds like a rather neat idea since the ceramic is much harder than the Ti and/or steel. Either way, it's a beautiful knife, love what they've done with the blade shape and using the thumb studs as stop pin. Sweet.
Yep, that's exactly right.
No, I promised some people I wouldn't do anymore of those, ...
