Christian kukri Guy steals HI photos?

On a much less serious note, does anyone know if I can trap some EXTRA Demons in my various blades?? :)
I feel that it would be better than having them out and about stealing your car keys and hiding the remotes and such. ;)
And if anyone feels uncomfortable with their "tainted steel", I am willing to safeguard it for them. Just send me an email and I'll give you my address. I'll even pay postage seeing as how I'm such a selfless kind of guy and all that. ;)

Whenever someone was about to get into a shouting match, argument (in the bad sense of that word), an altercation, or any of the myriad of variations on those themes, my mother always asked one question: "Why trade your good sense for their bad?" I certainly wouldn't trade any of my "demon possessed" HI blades for any of the "cleansed" blades he mentioned. It takes all kinds, folks. Smoke for the blind.

I'm a bit late to this one. Work stuff.

Just words on the internet, right? It's nothing to get worked up over. We can all agree that this individual is misguided -- if he's grinding the chos off, how will he aim when he throws his khuks? ;)

Nicely done, Tom.

all religions seem to have their lunatic fringe, even the atheist 'religion' - tho they seem to be more evangelical than many at times. intolerance from anyone to anyone is wrong. so is theft and copyright infringement, a religious person should know that.

What if the prayers to the demons are non-reversable, super double whammy on those who try prayers?

Would you need a priest who's an exorcism specialist to remove them?

What happens to the demons after they've been exorcised?

I'd suppose that if you exorcise them a lot, they get all buff and go into big time wrestling.

now what happens if this nut job is attacked by zombies?will a knife with exorcised demons still work?

Sunday morning seems like an appropriate time to share this - I wonder if the opinionated gentleman is aware that the kamis can make anything you want?:)

Now Berkley, that will just make him madder!

He will say that when the Khukuri is held upright, the cross will be upside down!!

 :D

Tom

PS he could always use a 41 mag on zombies, if the doesn't trust an HI Khuk.

41 mags are religiously neutral, right? I mean, who could be offended at the homely, unassuming, 41 mag? :)

On a serious note, I've been a bomb thrower in my day, and sometimes it is hard not to appear so, but the Bible requires that those who would be leaders in the Church be held in high esteem even by those who are not part of it.

All that to say, the good opinions of folks like you are very gratifying to me, and humbling. The friendship I have found here is very valuable.

A great day to all,

Tom

Tom all of that got a big chuckle out of me. :D hehehehehe...

Hi Guys, Not sure where to post this , came across a website with some fellow who does up windlass & ontario kukri, loads of pages about kukris.

He say Hi are to expensive & sell ungodly kukris full of idolatory worship & demons. But he grinds the cho of his windlass ones & tells people how to clear the demons out of them. :(

Bwahahahahahahahaha!!!:D

Wow, what a website. There are lots of blocks of repeated text. It makes it look like the guy has anterograde amnesia or something (think Memento).

I agree that ripping off copyrighted material is not kosher. However, it seems like this guy is mostly catching heat because he believes the kamis have invested demons in our khukuris. Okay, I think that's patently absurd, but I have to object to ridiculing him for his beliefs. If I use that measure against him, I invite it on myself, and I'm sure many of you would find my own beliefs to be similarly irrational. Being a Bible scholar, I can defend my positions much more convincingly than the gentleman who grinds the chos off his bent knives, but that won't amount to much if you deny my basic presuppositions. In the end, we must agree to disagree, or else call each other fools.

I choose to respect everyone I encounter in this forum, and in this world, whether I agree with them or not, and I expect the same in return. As laughable as I may find this, it would terribly hypocritical for me to deny this fellow the same respect I require of you.

And remember, we don't deride the kamis for using magic stones in the forging process.

i think this guy KNOWS that you can't really exorcise the "demons", which is why he suggest kold st33l ;)

What a nutjob. But I guess I'm cool: I don't have any "Indian" kukris. Mine are from Nepal.

And I _am_ a devout Christian. Please don't tar everyone because of this idiot.

It is?

Put yourself in my shoes.

My father is Cherokee and my mother is scotch/welsh.

I have a extreme super-christian sister-in-law who bashes me for it constantly. I've had this sort of wacky nonsense shoved down my throat for years... in school, at jobs, at family gatherings, etc etc etc etc. It gets old. Real quick like.

No... not all christians are wacko. But in my personal experience with them, many of them certainly are.

My apologies for having an opinion. I will try not have any further opinions in the future.

So what? Your sophistic generalizations based solely on your personal experiences are false.

Just because someone is a nutjob fundamentalist who believes his kukri is possessed, and who also happens to believe in Christ, doesn't make everyone who believes in Christ a nutjob fundamentalist who believes their HI's are "Of de Debil!" (In my best Louisiana Waterboy accent.;) )

"Paul is a man. Paul has a beard. Therefore all men have beards."

This logic error on your part should be self-evident. Sorry about your sister-in-law...

P.S. I took the time to read the rest of the thread, which I should have done in the first place. Explanations read and understood. Spiral has it right and religion is a touchy subject. I usually get along just fine with folks if they simply agree with me 100% of the time. :D

I have a strong faith, but an equally strong belief that God manifests himself is a variety of ways to a variety of people, and frankly see nothing at all inconsistent between Yvsa's ndn beliefs or a Tibetan Buddhists beliefs, or mine.

But this kook with his emasculated (or defeminized?) kukri sure has nothing to do with any of those positive beliefs.
