OK, Here is the list as it stands right now. The list closes Sunday at midnight.
Check it to see if anyone has posted they are ready and are not on it. If you are finishing up, get the photos up by Sunday night, or you won't be on the list.

This is the thread to post the photos of your Christmas KITH knives when you are done and ready to enter the KITH.

Post "I'm Ready" ,and then attach the photo(s) of your knife.

Give any description of it and the materials you wish.

I will place your entry in the file where the names will be drawn.
On December 1, I will print shipping labels for all who have completed their knives and email your recipients info to you. You can print that out, and put the address on your box. The knives should go out in the post within a few days of the labels being received . I recommend using a Medium Flat Rate box, and insuring the knife for the value ( $100-$200). Get delivery confirmation with a tracking number.

If a knife photo is not posted in this thread, (or I have not been contacted about your entry being ready), you will not be in the final group.......

so get those knives finished, get a shipping box ready, and post your photos and "I'm Ready" here.

Here's mine. All it needs is a sheath. It's CruForge V, spalted maple, and stainless.
I'm ready.

wow. those are nice. this is making me very glad I started the other kith. Mine isn't up to that.

I'm afraid I'm out, I have just recently moved and haven't been able to get my shop set up and finish working. Sorry guys. Very nice work Greg and Rob, would have loved to have gotten one of those.

I am in the home stretch on mine, I should have the knife finish this weekend and start on the sheath Sunday evening. That would put everything completed by the 18th.

Goodness gracious. I don't know if I can play in this league.
Or at least, not without having started a lot sooner. I'm in the middle of a rather straightfoward utility type knife, but I think I may back out. Have to sleep on it.

MSCantrell, don't back out. This isn't a contest. The KITH is about having fun making a knife and of getting the work of another knife maker.

Just so everyone knows, it was never my intention to "set the bar" with my KITH knife, let alone to try to exclude anyone from participating. Quite the contrary. I simply wanted to do the best I could with the skills and materials I had so my entry would be worthy of exchange. If you've previously declared yourself "in" the KITH and you've done your best work, please stay in. I see the KITH really as an excuse for us each to push ourselves and grow.

Ah, sorry to have put you on the spot like that. I see that it looked like I was saying, "Darn that Greg, he went and ruined the KITH for the rest of us." Bad manners on my part!

I'll finish my knife up and get it in the hat. Nobody's going to call it "incredible and stunning," but it should qualify for "crisp and practical," which has a place too. Thanks for the encouraging words, guys- BFC is a real decent crowd.

I will be sewing the sheath tonight during the hockey game, dying it tomorrow, and sharpening the knife Monday morning. That means I should have my pictures up Monday evening.

Ryan that looks Great!
Mr Buzek I'd love to have that in my pocket!
that is what I said when I saw it. I need a slippie, but those are a little out of the old price range. It would be awesome to get one. I guess I will have to work my skills toward this level.
