Sounds like you caught the symptoms early and reacted quickly. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
 
Here is the latest email from Chuck's wife, Lori:

Larry,

We are now in the waiting room at the hospital, he was taken to "Pre-Op" and we were told that surgery would take place around 1:30 PST after they put him on the blood bypass machine. They will update us frequently through the surgery on the surgeons progress Will send you a note when the surgery is done and the surgeon talks to us.

thanks for prayers. I was shocked and tearful, not ready to let him go. This morning was better, surgeon optimistic and chuck in good spirits as they wheeled him out.
