Cigars and Blades...Modern style

Huge praise coming from a guy with a steady supply of Cubans!! LOL Thank you, brother!

While I do smoke mostly Cubans, some of my favourite sticks come from Arturo Fuente.

I'm always a fan of a good beer/cigar/steel combo!

Oh man, that's awesome!

Again, another attempt at finding a good (cheap) 30 minute smoke. Today was the Alec Bradley Punk. Nice, but nothing special:

I've recently gotten into cigars. I've stayed away because I quite smoking cigarettes 10 years ago. How often do you guys enjoy a good cigar? The last couple of weeks I've been doing one mid week and one on the weekends and I'm wondering if that's too much.

Btw - I got a box of acid cigars. Not so sure about them, I think I'm going to try some Ditka specials.

My number one cigar tip.

Try the Casa Garcia robusto. Preferably the maduro for a lot of taste. They are made by Altadis in the Montecristo factory. Same hands. The good new is I pay $25 for 20 sticks! Can't beat them.

Acids are good if you like something flavored but the flavoring takes away from the cigar it self. Cant go wrong with any thing from drew estate though.

Instead of doing the camacho ditka cigars (i gave been told they are ok but not amazing) try the camacho ecuador, great cigar with some great flavors and they would not be a huge jump from acids with the flavor profile.

As for how often to smoke, it is up to you. Obviously smoking of any kind isn't great for you but from everybody i have talked to (never touched a cigarette my entire life) cigarettes are way worse and cause much worse effects simply due to the fact you inhale them and you don't inhale cigar smoke. In fact there isnt much solid evidence cigar smoking will cause a ton of damage unless you are smoking multiple a day.

My favorite cigar is the Burn by Rocky Patel.

What cases are those for the xikar and lighter? Very nice

Those cases were gifts to me, and are from a company called Tampa Fuego. Pretty awesome stuff, and they make them in a bunch of different leathers.

My favorite cigar is the Burn by Rocky Patel.

That is an excellent cigar, and the actual place is even better. Burn down in Naples, FL is a super trendy cigar nightclub, and when I and my crew went there, the place was packed with women. Pretty awesome joint.

The Liga Privada T-52 is one of my absolute favorites.

MWALLY,,,, how did you like the Alec Bradley? My local cigar store is featuring them this week :)

I always thought 70% was just about right? The magic numbers were always 70/70. 70 % at 70deg or there abouts.

Mike

This is my second try at an Upmann Half Corona. The first time I smoked one I had a little humidor malfunction and my humidity was around 70%. I really disliked the little Upmann, but figured it must have been too damp. Fast forward a couple weeks, my humidor has been stabilized at 65% for the last 10 or 12 days, so I decided to give this little stick another try. While it was definitely more tolerable this time, I still did not enjoy it much. Well, at least I know that I can cross this one off my list of potential 30 minute smokes.

I think it'd be very cool if a scale maker could inlay your favourite cigar band into a scale. I accept royalties :D
