Cigars and Blades...Modern style

Trying to fit in a 30 minute smoke at work. Photo featuring today's work carry. Usually I have my Hinderer XM-18 in my pocket, but the Spydie Stretch is stepping in during the hot humid weather.

Love the Hemingway line by Arturo Fuente. Today was an AF Short Story. Burned for about 45 minutes. Just an outstanding little cigar in every regard.

Chambelona, what is that metal box holding your goods? Looks pretty slick.

I always liked cigars. My body hates niccotine tho. Its too bad... I get into all the other aspects, think the whole process is a work of artistic science - the blending and aging and all that goes into crafting the cigars themselves clear out to how its grown and how the seedlines have worked out. All relateable stuff.. I just cant smoke em. I try every now and then.. I picked up an Acid Nasty a few years ago, just to smoke my co workers into submssion in the van, but it about killed me. I had to lay in the grass and sweat it off for an hour or so. Greenman. Lol
Its just something I will have to appreciate from a distance.. And smell.. man do I love the way a good cigar shop smells..

Thanks for the pics guys.

It's a BCB Mini Mess Tin made in the U.K., has a gasket that runs around the inside top, seals tight when those two outer clips are closed.
I purchased mine on ebay.
They make a larger size also.

Sometimes Cubans are overrated. Much prefer the AF Short Story that I smoked last night...

I agree with you.
I do like those smaller montecristos though.

A photo of myself and my Dad in Havana in 1959.
I always wonder what he was smoking here:

Your dad looks like a Partagas man. Maybe an 8-9-8. Let's go with that. Awesome pics, thanks for sharing.

I'll tell ya, the only good thing about that Monte is that the after taste didn't stick around for long. I would give it a 7/10 flavor, and a 5/10 overall smoking experience for the tough draw, mediocre taste, and having to re-light it twice.
