What have I missed?

Had a movie weekend with my cousins.

New Jack Reacher is pretty good, I liked it just as much as the first one.

Doctor Strange is a fun watch, Benedict Cumberbatch did a good job, but I thought his character was not likeable.

Hacksaw Ridge is probably the best movie I've watched this year, go see it if you can.

Saw magnificent seven a week or so ago, really enjoyed. Really wanting to see hacksaw Ridge though

I'll have to check them out - that's a lot cheaper than any leather I have around here, and especially worth less than my time sewing one up.

The only issue with them is if your shape is "rotund", the ties are a bit short. Probably made with a skinny Asian in mind, not an old fat guy. I sewed some extra material on the straps so that I could do a full round and tie them to one side or the other, rather than struggling to get them tied blindly in back.

I use a leather welding apron that I got at the place that rhymes with Barber Weight for $10.

I've been wearing a flame retardant set of coveralls, but have been wanting a leather apron. Imma have to see if my local stores have them in stock.

I've been thinking about hitting up my leather shop. They stock all kindsa leather, but you are very right hardly worth the time it would take to make one. But as they say, safety first; unless it infers with production. Hahaha

Unfortunately my "grinder" is way too underpowered for me to worry too much about it, but anything is possible when working metal.

Glad you're good bud!!

I was using a Craftsman 2x42 -- not the most powerful grinder out there, but with a fresh 40 grit norton blaze belt it was throwing big sparks.

I recently found a "jiffy grinder" attachment I can put on my grinder and then I can use 2x48" belts. Which I'm really looking forward to.

that's adorable!
now I need to go to the aircraft salvage place in Wichita and buy stuff to make one.

Hahaha right!? He's basically using long board wheels and aluminum. Shouldn't be that hard.

ah, i'd like to burn some stuff... though i tend to save most limbs over 1 inch, esp if they dropped off a tree for free - most energy in limb wood apparently

and ... it's wood. like, free, so :D

which made me ponder "why is it light outside but only 6am ish, oh, that's why" ;)

i own very little stuff these days that doesn't set itself back automatically. it's the future.

sadly, some older tech doesn't know about the last update to

Save limbs over 1" for what?? Limbs under 1" don't make very good firewood LOL.

Fire started Saturday around 4-5pm... Finally went completely out monday evening around sunset. Burned 2 whole blackjack oaks and a mess of limbs.

My damn knee is killing me... Yesterday after work i get home and start planting a few legustrums in the yard... Sat down wrong... Got up worse.... Now moving my knee is painful.

Not the first time... My knee has came completely out of place 2 other times. This time it didn't go out of place... Well Hell honestly i don't know what happened this time but it's more painful.

I'm the oldest 32 year old i know.

As a fellow Army veteran, I can attest that "it's not the years, it's the miles."
