<sigh>
apparently this is the wrong time of year to walk out of the house without a long gun.
I just let the pup out to do a quick patrol of the yard and spooked a yearling whitetail napping in the brush on the other side of the fence.
it hopped up, ran about 30 yards, and then stopped -- looking back over its shoulder at me for almost a minute before wandering off into the deeper brush.

Taunting you. That will teach you.

now to work on the other two, and get any wood off the ground i can and into the stack, then work on the "big bin"...

will have to save the brush maybe for next year. should be dry then ;)

Managed to screw up my back yesterday. Bent down to pick up carabiner and the pain almost made me fall over. Currently masking the discomfort with alcohol, painkillers and muscle relaxants. Might have to up the dosage.

Getting old sucks.

100 years from now, archaeologists will wonder who built these mysterious structures and why. They'll never postulate that it was just some guy showing off his wood.

Very scandinavian of you, Bladite. Makes me want to drink this beer. Oh wait, I wanted to do that anyway. *slurp*

it's 6 pallets, arranged with two on the ground, two as back walls, and one each left and right as walls. roped together. keeps them off the ground without fussing too much about org.

plus, they dry, though slower as they are not split yet.

Nice. Dad said it was supposed to snow up there today. I'm jealous.

Cold rain down in here Carbondale.

We were right on the line earlier, getting a rain snow mix. Just snowing now, but the temp is 35°, so of course it wont last.
