Clever Snark Thread Title

Being originally from northern Ohio but having now lived in Texas for 30 years, part of me misses the winter weather and the beauty of a quiet snowfall, part of me not so much. ;)
 
ok guys, I need ideas for a GAW. I wrote some time ago that I would do a GAW before the year is over, having reached 2k posts and never done one before. I was kinda thinking to ask for pics or drawings of the knives you like or would like to see made, but I don't know if people would get pissed if I make a knife based on someone else's drawing. No ideas right now, a bit burnt after being with mom at the hospital for a week and her getting 4 stents in 2 blocked arteries, thank God she is OK now, but I want to do this before the year is over and have 0 ideas right now. The prize would be either one of my handmade knives - treated by Peter's - or a nib BK4 or maybe a rare Spanish knife or a custom made kydex/leather sheath or an ice cream pooping unicorn, who knows. Let me hear them!

I say have the entrants draw up their knife (with you supplying the max OAL and thickness).
You have handle options, pin stock/bolts, liners, et al, available to choose from.
The great part is the Winner gets their personal knife made, with random number thingy to find the winner.

Nice. I only shot 9mm, trying out some new night sights and some possible carry ammo. Still a good day. #SunsOutGunsOut Next week will probably be a clash of .45's. My M&P .45 is coming in Tuesday so I'll try that out against the Glock 21 and Sig P220.
 
hmmm, liking both ideas. Only caveat would be that the winner would have to wait for the knife to come back from HT and finishing it up, but I like it! I guess I could do without pics or drawings, suggestions only, with stated dimensions.

The winner would be getting their own dream design made though, so I think the wait would be cool. :D

I think if someone draws up their own design and submits it, they are giving you permission to make it. I could see where there might be an issue if they just copy someone else's design. You might have to make it "draw your own ORIGINAL design."

My shooting in the rain today consisted of a single round of .22LR between the eyes of a skunk I trapped out from under the house last night.

It takes just as long to clean a pistol after 1 round as it does after a couple of hundred, :(

Please keep in mind that this is not my idea.
It was originally how a GAW happened in the JK Knives subforum and it generated a lot of discussion, laughs, questions, and chatter amongst the entrants.

Just giving credit where credit is due.

I stand by my statement - It was your recommendation. :D

If you hadn't gone and let the cat out of the bag that it wasn't your idea originally, the rest of us would have remained clueless, and thought you to be a clever fellow. :D
