Isn't it way past all your bed times? I mean you all had your finger like 7 hours ago... Hahaha
 
I think the side rails go up at 10pm. If they're not in bed by then we're stuck with them for the night.
(I snark as I pass out in my chair and wake up snorting)

many many many many many 5 or 8 gallon milkers filled with melted snow

lots of free flushes

the animals didn't care

we had flush and water and fresh meat

another month

Made up the '69 one - well, maybe. There were a lot of them back then......but '78? That was.....astonishing. I grew up about 60 miles from Buffalo, where people were searching for their cars with garden implement handles....seriously, a sight to see. I mean, 8' of snow in one go just stops you in your tracks - you ain't howling into the wind, once the Mother smacks you upside the head and tells you in no uncertain terms "don't ever forget who runs this place....." - it's just amazing, in the true sense of the word, IMO.
 
It's been cold here too



Finally made enough ice to get some fishing in yesterday. The fish were around, but were being very tight lipped. I did manage to get a perch and the other guys got a few perch and walleye. It felt great to get out and wet a line.



Almost forgot. -24 here last night.
 
Never been ice fishing. Always thought it would be fun. At least you caught something.

I don't think it ever gets cold enough here for ice anywhere to get thick enough to walk ok let alone go ice fishing on.
