heat rises - that's why you can see the sun when it's high in the sky, even if it's cold at ground level -- but goes dark when it close to the cold ground.
 
Taught the wife how to use the snowblower today. Did some 1 arm shoveling and got yelled at. Back to the couch I returned to nap on and off all day 👍
 
It was 76ºF at 1700. The front hit with 28mph winds around 1830.

It is now 48ºF and dropping. Supposed to be 25ºF-26ºF at 0700 tomorrow, a 50ºF drop.

Welcome to winter in Texas.
 
it was supposed to be 40+ yesterday and supposed to be -6 at 8 AM tomorrow.
the way the temp is falling I wold not be surprised if it's colder than that.
current wind chill is -12 or some such.
 
Looks like the front is still about 30 miles North of us.

Still 78 here.

But, I guess I ought to turn off the A/C.

Winter is coming...within the hour.

And it's passing through right now. Dropping about 3/4 a degree a minute.

Time to find a jacket.

28 brisk degrees Fahrenheit this morning. Only dropped 50 degrees from yesterday's high.
 
23 here today. with windchill its abuot 6F

good thing i dont have much of nothing on the go :D

About the same here. Me no likey! Went out last night to a local Irish pub to see my daughter and the band (www.tahomaband.com)(...shameless plug...) perform. The Irish owner was loving the weather; Brandon (daughter's boyfriend and lead singer/guitar) thanked everyone for braving the "snowless blizzard." That about summed it up.

Chicken waterers frozen this morning, but at least the chickens have feathers to stay warm. The bees have plenty of honey...and each other...to stay warm. Me? It's church service and grocery shopping and then inside chores the rest of the day!

it was -12F (-25C) when the dog wanted out at 4:30AM - he didn't stay out long.
currently we're up to -7 w/a wind chill of -20.
making hash for breakfast, SWMBO is still in bed, wrapped up in the blankets with a dog next to her soaking up and heat she lets escape. :)
 
A fine, sunny, brisk 14 F in Barlow. Crunchy grass and leaves from the 4 inches of rain yesterday.
 
Warming up here. 3° now, with a wind chill of -13°. We had freezing rain yesterday, followed by a light dusting of snow. Slicker than snot out.
 
Gotta love oklahoma, yesterday it was almost 80 in the south east corner of the state and almost negative 10bin the panhandle at the same time. It's been ranging from about 2 degrees to 17 here though
