a few weeks back Doug told me they had finally shown up, so I figure another week or 3 and I should have a nice little brother to my NIB
tenacious.

So here is what is likely a dumb question, but is the BK5 actually discontinued? People keep saying it is, but it still shows up on the KA-BAR website.

Not sure if I'd buy one. From what I hear all Beckers are warped or break upon the touch...

Snark :D

No honestly, I don't know about this either. The 15 clearly is pretty unavailable around the web. The 5 you can still find here and there.

No more are being made. What's left in stock is all there are or will be.

I've got like 5 or 6 "extra" BK5's. I wish I could make a couple of them 15's but that won't happen anytime soon.

I still have a NIB 4 and 5 from when I bought my 20 I need to get gone.

I sold mine. The 20 as well. Plus my other BK5. I like the 5 okay, but it just doesn't get much use from me. I much prefer the niner.

Same here with the 20 and 4. I really enjoyed playing with the 20, and it's a GREAT blade. But either I want serious chop (21) or big-but-packable (9). The 20 was in that awkward middle for me. Prolly perfect for bigger guys. The 4 is cute, but it's no 21, and otherwise I like more compact blades. I sharpened it up good and sold it last week. Hopefully it will be enjoyed.

I didn't even use my 20. I sold the 4, but still had 2 anywhos. Did not care for the 21. Too big, and imo, not the best chopper. Love my 9. Still my favorite Becker, and still my go to.

I'm finding too many good deals.....too good to pass up - though there seems to be a sucking sound coming from my wallet. Leathermans OHT and Wave (2.0) for the cost of less than either, and a Wingman I didn't pick up (I, uh....damn my Yankee sensibilities!) for $15(!) yesterday.....and today I stopped at an LL outlet to usar el baño and I found a PowerPot and a JetBoil MinMo for a tad less than....well, dirt cheap - just north of an "L" note. And it's not deal spotting because closeouts and used/returned.
Seriously, though.....I think I've created such a vacuum in my wallet that I'm a little concerned the space/time continuum might invert....at least in the nanoscopic space/time of my pocket.

Yeah, and I saw this yesterday. It wasn't even that warm out....showoff.

I've heard the Granite State has more millionaires per capita than any other....and from some of the serious hardware I see rolling around in my little town and around the state, I'd believe it.
