Great Idea!Is that what u needed the portable stove for fug!?
HahaI think this is his excuse to run through Boys Town next time. Plausible deniability.
Damn, I'm up, Those Spetznaz keep me up late,,,
You know, the Chicago Marathon runs through Boys Town.
They put on a hell of a show in their cowgirl outfits
with high boots and skirts...
Great Idea!

Guyon, looks like you had a great time with the youngin'.
I have to ask about your stove setup.
I am looking for a really small stove I can carry with me
on some of these long winter runs.I want to stop at
the halfway and make a cup or hot chocolate or tea.
I have been looking at making a "penny stove" from
a heiniken can. I will need to get a titanium cup to use
as the pot to boil water, but cant find one with a lid.
Your pot looks kinda big,is it stainless steel?
How long about does it take to boil water?
Need a windscreen?
Gnite shadow...
Funny story
went running late this afternoon
wore my running shorts with long pants over them
just like a nylon pants, not insulated or anything.
well,i wear this combo all the time and never had a problem.
i run first half of the run into the wind, then
coast home the second half.
so at 8 miles i go to turn around and man,i got something
wrong in johnsonville
i take off my glove and stick my hand in my shorts...
little willy was smaller than ever, and half frozen!
scared the shit outta me. took 1/2 mile walking with my hand
cupped over my package before i could
start running again.
You need to duct tape some of those activated carbon hand warmers to your johnson next time.![]()
Or maybe you could just squat over a Pocket Rocket stove about the 8-mile mark.
Seriously, here is my MSR set-up. I took this pic on its first test run. Requires fuel cannisters, but they nest nicely inside the Titan Kettle.
If I were running and needed to carry something ultra-lite though, I'd think about the Super Cat along with a small fuel bottle (full of denatured alcohol) and a Ti mug and maybe a simple aluminum foil windbreak.
