Ok.....found it.......and the sheath I was looking for also......how nice that it was in the sheath.
 
Had to put mommas cat down this am.
Hope everybody's day goes better than ours.

Cold here too. Looking up for tomorrow though.
 
Getting harrassed to paint my kitchen pumpkin orange.................

And funk that pinnacle Armor.......upwards of 4K for a vest.........not in this lifetime or wage.

Fug, here is my cook set. I arranged it the way I think would be best for your use. Esbit burns very cleanly, but the kit also include a alcohol stove and 2 titanium pegs to allow you to burn wood (that is the way I mostly use mine). The kit includes:

Container for stove, fuel, food, etc
2 Esbit tablets
Gram Cracker Ebit Stove
Caldera Tri-Ti stove
Snow peak Mini Solo Cook Set (pot, cup, and lid)
Ramen
hot chocolate
tea bag

Everything above weighs slightly less than a pound (including food). All you need to add is a Mini Bic (I normally carry a fire steel), chopsticks, and water.

Sorry to hear about your furball. We lost one to cancer last fall and another to old age. Go down to the pound and get her another one. Nothing will take your wifes mind off of her loss like a kitten running around shredding everything in sight! We still have 5! (all were strays that found us)

I played Santa at our childrens Christmas party (300+kids) I asked one kid what he wanted Santa to bring him and he said, "A cat!" I wanted to say, "what color cat do you want?" soo badly but I held off.
 
I'm sorry to hear that sleeve. I hope your upcoming days are better than the past few weeks. At least a needy animal or two will now find a home with you!

Thanks for setting that up and takin the pics Brian.
That looks kinda big to carry in this vest that I wear.
There is a pouch in the back that I would carry it in.
Its just big enough for like a light jacket or something.

Did you check if the lid fit on the cup only?
I like the esbit idea.
might be the easiest,fastest,smallest thing to use
in this instance.

I have to reread Guyons posts.

if it makes you feel better, I've seen tests done on the gatorhawks and they held up very well. the rep put close to 100 rounds of various pistol calibers up to 12 gauge slugs and no failures. pretty sure they are well under $1k too.
