I need a new Horton mangonite. A SOB with an attitude! You down? Cause I am

My pop's side of the family are all workers with their hands. He's a pipefitter and his Dad set the sites for the Navy after WWII was over. When I rehabbed my home I ended up filling all the foundation cracks with a sylicone based caulk. After 4 years it is still fine. However, we do not get a lot of water.

How wide are the largest cracks and approximately how far do they stretch??? That sounds a bit odd....but seriously.

bout an 1/8 of an inch maybe a little more. wouldn't bug me but they all seem to radiate from a single spot ant there is an little difference in height between the sides.

i know Mike,, I like Mike,, I dont speak for him,, he doesnt need my help.. but Mike has a forum,, if someone wants to discuss him or his knives,, you know,,

i am focused on promoting my brand... in a positive manner,, its how i pay my bills now,, go time,

I would recommend a masonry caulk as long as you are not getting water through the cracks. It comes in tubes and you can easily apply it with one of those caulk guns.

If you are getting water, then there is this an epoxy resin crack filler which may be a bit stronger.

Either way, make sure you give it a good vaccuming or if possible a powerwash before you apply the sealant. If water is coming through, then try to do it during a dry spell. Should help it to set better, and create a tighter seal.

Another technique is to chisel a v shape into the concrete around the crack. This supposedly makes it easier to properly fill. Then you can use this material that actually has some sand and other components to it.

Once you get the materials, it will probably take you less time to fill it than it took me to create this post:)

I would seriously use hydrolic cement.
we call it "hot shit"
it gets hot when you mix it,and expands while drying.
it is real "creamy",not like the cement your use to.
its expensive, but you wont need much.
like 15 bucks for a small bucket.
only mix a little at a time because it will
harden in a few minutes after you add the water and mix it.

wet the cracks down with a sponge, get the wall wet,
mix your cement and whilke wearing a rubber glove, smear
the hydrlic cement in the cracks...work it in good.
this stuff will set and harden even under water.
done.

Well my friend - you brought it up first :D

Sounds like you have a good bit of experience with this Fug! I always like to learn more efficient methods....thanks.

certain applications call for a particular product.
the hydrolic cement is great in wet areas, can be used to cement clay sewer pipes
(hardens under water) anyway, they sell it
at home depot. I think in a yellow bucket.
always good to have some on hand for emergency. just keep it dry.
